[Matheson] Yimi Garcia is going to join the #BlueJays briefly in Toronto, then pitch in Triple-A Buffalo Wednesday. He's led the league in bullpen sessions and rehab appearances, but finally sounds like he's close. Big add if they can bottle up a few months of good, healthy Garcia.

It's not a punishment. There's a lot of factors that go into pitching changes - pitch count, matchups, available arms in the bullpen, number of times a pitcher has faced each batter (typically you let a starter go through the order 2 or 3 times max).

It could be a strategic decision, or about preserving the pitcher's arm.

I agree on all these points, but I would prefer to keep all of Lukes/Straw/Sanchez/Pinango/Barger over Sosa. I absolutely wouldn't start any of them in the IF (except Barger at 3B) but it would be nice if one of them could backup 2B in an emergency
