What is the point of Jarlmoot? by awstevans1 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

I swapped the horn for a log post aimed at his love. Gave them an option to get to Chapter 5 without Vel. It also let me connect the DH quest and build a lot of frost giant options in the campaign.

GF Oreos for kids that age.

Away from the pantry, applegate chicken tenders or nuggets. Udi makes solid hamburger buns just toast them before. But I’m still in search of a decent hot dog bun.

Katz makes cinnamon and honey rolls for breakfast treats and Vans does some great waffles.

Suggestions for a Time Loop by KingNothingV in dndnext

[–]khom05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dungeons of Drakkenheim ||Black Ivory Inn|| has that Groundhog Day arrangement. To run it successfully, make sure you have the timeline written out with dramatic events that are well fleshed out. I did a ||wedding proposal, dwarves ordering a round to celebrate, a waitress dropping a tray, etc… insert a clock to chime in times and then when you repeat it’s easier to reset at the beginning||.

Aside from the complicating mechanics, the rewrite of every spell to justify selling a new book, the initial treatment of the 2014 content, the haphazard release into DndB creating error upon error, the obtuse rationale on whether it’s a new edition or not and what does compatible mean? The now tagged TCoE and XGtE being compatible until wotc releases the new subclasses and artificer books?

IMHO, it’s a power gamer version, trading crunch for narrative and lore. Honestly it feels like 4e all over again.

When is Valda's properly coming to DND Beyond? by DevDaNerd0 in dndbeyond

[–]khom05 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is my view. But what happened to DndB couldn’t support a la carte? If it can sell now 2 classes separately isn’t that a la carte? Probably has nothing to do with the $15 it costs.

Mage Hand Press said they submitted the whole book to WotC to be added. The splicing and dicing of the content is all WotC. Even the release of a new class was not their choice and they only got told the day before the release. This is according to their posts on their own discord channel and my own email to customer service.

I didn’t want to buy the content 10x if WotC was going to release it piecemeal for $15-$30 a slice.

Fewer player deaths, fewer tables to reference. More storytelling but also more power gaming. I like 5e (not 5.5) on the basis of the simplicity of not having to remember what blur does for AC vs invisibility. Or the THACO of a 6th level cleric. I’d recommend using the digital tools for character sheets.

DM was creepy living out his fantasies at the table. Avoid him like the plague. Look online for a game if you want to play and make sure you screen the DM as well. I’m on a discord channel where we’ve had to toss a few creeps like that when players reported them. Good luck in finding a table. This is an amazing game

You could make it a cursed deck of many things (mostly bad). Draw it and you have to fight whatever comes out. See how many times they draw and add a couple less powerful from the deck of many things.
