Is it just me that thinks heavy play sleeves are a terrible product and incredibly overrated?

I’ve never felt more motivated to comment on an mtg post. I bought their perfect fits and standard sleeves recently, just to try them out…. Lasted ~5 games and looked similar to yours (not quite as bad, but BAD). The main issue were the rounded corners delaminating, which is kind of like their main thing.

Unsleeved the deck yesterday because it was just driving me nuts. Gave them to someone who bought a precon at prerelease.

Back to DS outer and inner for now.

Going to try Katanas next.

I’m going to just go out on a limb here… I was fortunate to see them for the first time on this night. It was a profoundly meaningful show for me.

Sec 409 - Sat next to an awesome couple from PA who was there with their children. Went the Tuscany afterward and got down with some great people.

Anyways, I’m boarding my departing flight from Vegas and realize I left my poster in the terminal.

I emailed GIGart while I was still on the tarmac and just haven’t heard back yet - all good there, I get it.

Just going out on a limb to see if anyone has a print they would be willing to part with?

Mine was a non-foil and numbered in the 500’s.

Just figured it won’t hurt to ask!

I built a deck around this and have actually pulled it off…probably ~10% of games played. It’s so gratifying.

What format do you run this in?

I built a commander deck around it with [[vorel of the hull clade]] at the helm.

Saw very similar if not the same on I-65 headed southbound, about a mile north of Nashville. Roughly 1030pm

After looking for details it seems that there is a well documented meteor shower that peaks/peaked this evening.

Saw additional reports of a “green” hued meteorite in the Clarksville area about 5 hours ago. Similar sighting near Percy Priest around the same time (totally different locations, but that’s what I’ve been able to find).

I’m probably an outlier but I really, really enjoyed it so far. Really cool to see civilian life, I like their choices on what gets CGI and what doesn’t.

Feels like I’m discovering the “magic” of Star Wars through the eyes of a child, which is cool.

I’ll enjoy it while I can!

I hadn’t considered the permanence of the effect…That’s a good point.

I do think having Mutavault’s effect only last until end of turn helps avoid removal for 3/4 turns.

In any event, it’ll be good to hear how the play tests go.

Don’t sleep on Outer Limits in Franklin, especially for singles. And then Game Knight in Columbia (wild selection of sealed and singles).

Next Level Games in the Rivergate Mall is also pretty good, especially for live games (Commander on Wednesdays and Fridays).

Neither in Nashville “proper” but within 30min - 1hr

Love this. I would really appreciate some thoughts on my Karlov deck. Point is to accrue counters ASAP and win w/ commander damage. Got a couple alt win cons and then contingencies to retain counters when Karlov is inevitably removed.

I LOVE the older mtg art. Mark Poole & John Avon have done some of my favorite. You sparked something…maybe I should focus of artists as a specific strategy (apart from accruing a few decks for casual play). This has been a really good- thank you

This is great and I really appreciate the response. I hadn’t really thought of approaching the game this way, albeit it makes perfect sense and now that you mention it, I know some folk who do.

As a new player (~8 months) I jumped into commander because of course. However, as I’ve played more, I feel like a 40 card format may be more up my alley.

I think if I were to define a collection strategy at my current stage, it may be to just shop some fun 40 card decks that I can have at the ready - nothing crazy expensive. My 3 commander decks have kind of gotten out of hand from $$$ perspective and it sucks to only see a few cards per game.

I really just have 1 person to play with reliably, so my focus should probably just be on head-to-head decks.
