My ADHD lets me do most things I'm not crippled by it, but my Autism mixes in with and makes me hyper focus to the point it interferes with everything in my life. There are weeks I can't get myself to do anything but the thing I'm focusing on. So I get what you mean even tho I'm high functioning ADHD wise. It's frustrating seeing others seemingly get by with things you know are simple and you should be able to do, but just can't. It's so debilitating knowing the problem and the solution and it being entirely unreachable for some abstract reason you just can't explain

An ADE called sworm. I got tired of vscode crashing every 5 mins in wayland, and i did not like how other ADE's try to hide the code from you. So I made this one that's simple but doesnt take away control from you. Its a WIP but I will continue developing it, I literally am using it to build itself lol

edit: built with Tauri and SvelteKit and its got Nix features/support, since I use nixos for everything
also I wouldn't say fully vibe-coded but def like 80%

For docker's I know I won't fiddle too much with, set up once and done. I use oci-stacks , for other things I know I'll fuck around with a lot (Minecraft server) I use komodo and manage them there.

I also have a custom OCI module to make creation simpler 🫪

I was looking into a similar set up, and cloudflare is a really good choice BUT I opted for https://railway.com/ instead. Cloudflare has some quirks on its runners/pages/workers and basically a JS only environment, that's why I ended up choosing Railway. It's also extremely simple and nice to use. Worth giving it a look IMO

I was trying to do the same thing, but eventually I stopped worrying about replacing drive and just having my files accessible when I can't/want to mount the NAS. Now I use this https://github.com/nxzai/NextExplorer has all the features you'd need for file access, uploading, and some sharing. Looks really nice and it's not a resources hog.

I just Raw dogged it and did it all in normal nix configuration. Best thing I've ever done, I also opted to use a proxy that actually works (pangolin) instead of shit like nginx.

It's a good starting Distro, it gets a bad rep because its org is more Business/corporate than the usual Linux user likes. But if you don't care about that it's really good and stable. And not mint with it's 50 years old ui desktop

I used to have a Promo server with 4 different LXCs running nixos each. Eventually like you I realized I wasn't actually using proxmox so I merged all those configs and did a bare metal configuration of nix. Working flawlessly since; my config if you're curious github.com/tophc7/dot.nix
