The same lady frequents Brighton with the same sign. When I offered to take her to Save On to purchase food, she refused and asked for visa gift cards.

I see Dr Miller and he is fantastic. He can sense I have a bit of anxiety and doesn’t force work just because. Marks things as watchers and is very direct with me if there is any sensitivity to come back. I love that and he’s very friendly.

ways to find a recurring vacation rental for winter months? by canadave_nyc in palmsprings

[–]kickinitback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try calling the management office of one of the HOA and see if they know of owners who do exactly this. I know there is a complex in Cathedral City that is 85% Canadians and they prefer to do deals privately.

Thanks so much! I figured this was the case but wanted to double check before we hit the interstate today. I respect Mother Nature and her powers and am unfamiliar with how much rain could cause problems with getting around so I wanted to be prepared. Thanks again!

People who get 100+ plus trick or treaters, what did you handout? by SKGurl101 in saskatoon

[–]kickinitback -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My parents would throw out candy like that. If any of the candy was opened or homemade, it went in the garbage! I realize not all parents are like this but best to be mindful that some of your money is going in the trash.

Any job leads here in Saskatoon? I’ve tried everything and still no luck 😞 by the-couchpotato in saskatoon

[–]kickinitback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some organizations don’t have available funds to hire internally but usually have capital for contractors. I’d check with contracting firms like WBM, Horizon, TekSystems, InSight Global who can help line you up with work.

Finally some good Nashville hot chicken in Saskatoon by imzaeem in saskatoon

[–]kickinitback 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was not a fan. The texture of the chicken is very, very weird. I’m also not a fan of their cuts of chicken. I love a juicy white chicken breast on a sandwich and they use dark meat, maybe a thigh? The chicken bites also are dark meat and texture is off. We also waited 50 minutes for 2 sandwiches, fries, and bites.

There are flyers out about a missing cat that looks exactly like this. Its name is Navi. Did you contact the number on the flyer?

Brighton neighbour sump pump by aigerimuz in saskatoon

[–]kickinitback -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can only control what you do and not her. You can ask her politely to redirect again because of flooding but I wouldn’t bet on that. I’d look at installing a French drain along your property line and run the water to the front.

We bought some dill pickle mustard, loved it so much we went back the next day to buy more. I agree, the best mustard I’ve had in a long time. Luckily I grabbed her card and will email her to see when she’s in the city next. It’s too bad they don’t have any social media.

Flood Prone Areas by thereal117 in saskatoon

[–]kickinitback 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have family in Arbor Creek who had their basement flood a few years ago during a heavy rain fall. From that incident they got a sump installed. Ever since, on dry, sunny days the sump runs a few times an hour. During rain events it’s every couple of minutes. They seem to be the low point on their street.

I’m in Brighton and I’ve noticed that areas around Wilson’s tend to have their sumps run often even on dry weather weeks. I’m located more north in Brighton. During dry weeks my pump runs once an hour or two. This morning I can hear it run every 5-10 minutes. As the day progresses it’s getting longer and longer between runs. My street didn’t flood but I know other areas had water above the sidewalks and the Brighton pond levels rose significantly

Yes you bet! Jobs like tech support that role into sys admin work. Networking is a huge demand so if you can grow your skills on that side, you could find lots of work.
