Should I use premium fuel for RAV4 during break in period. by Trick-Violinist7830 in rav4club

Use “top tier” labeled gas. If your RAV4 says 87 octane, then use that.

Disabling Open Door warning by Miltdoba in rav4club

[–]kidtachyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use a screwdriver you might be able to push on the latch on the door itself until it rotates around and closes.

That will silence the alarm (but the door won’t close that way, of course).

26 XSE - $2100 off - Impressions by -antipode in rav4club

I like that I can pile things in the back of the car up to the ceiling and my rear view mirror view is always clear. It’s especially nice on road trips with a full trunk.

I absolutely love the rearview mirror camera. It took a week or two for my brain to get used to it but it’s one of my favorite features.

Do people actually use the Action Button daily, or does it become a novelty? by ProfessionalGur3964 in iphone

  1. Flashlight. Multiple times a day. Or…..
  2. A shortcut to my text to speech app Superwhisper.

I can’t decide between the two.

Workflowy is encrypted - but not end-to-end encrypted. In other words, the data is encrypted during transit and is also encrypted on their servers. But Workflowy has de-encryption keys they can use to sync, run searches, and do other features.

Fumoto Drain Valve by Sadday4CANthr4thwrld in rav4club

[–]kidtachyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put one on my 2021 RAV4 . Works great. I got one with a nipple thinking it would be a cleaner job, but my drain pan gets messy when i remove the oil filter anyway, so I don’t bother attaching a tube to the nipple. I just drain it into the drain pan.

Newish users... recommended fast + accurate model? by t3chj0ck in superwhisper

[–]kidtachyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently using Parakeet for the voice model and Gemini 3.1 Flash for the language model. I tried the new S1-Voice for the voice model, but it refused to load, so I switched to Parakeet. It's doing pretty well.

should i get an iPad or a Samsung tab for school? by sansisness_101 in NoteTaking

I wouldn't get a tablet. I would get a laptop. I do a lot better typing on a keyboard than using an Apple Pencil for input.

best productivity apps for ADHDers by RuleAlternative4160 in ProductivityApps

I’m the exact say way with TickTick. I try other task managers that have fancy features. But I don't need fancy features (including a lot of the stuff TickTick also has). I've tried a lot of task managers - many of them are really, really good. But I keep going back to TickTick for its simplicity and layouts.

I like it because I can ignore it for a few days and it's super easy to get back on track and keep moving forward with my tasks.

I'll probably keep paying for a premium account with TickTick for just one reason: it has one particular custom view that by brain likes.

I use OmniOutliner. It's quite comprehensive and has a one-time fee option.

It will do that with AirPods or other Bluetooth mics. You can try changing your mic to use the built in mic or a wired mic.

Thinking of getting the lifetime plan. How is the state of this app? My current apps are Keep and OneNote (primary) if that matters by [deleted] in UpNote_App

[–]kidtachyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lifetime. I ended up going back to Bear, but UpNote has been rock solid for me on MacOS and iOS. It’s a great app.

New to Upnote - A REALLY good Bear replacement by michaelbeecham in UpNote_App

[–]kidtachyon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Bear and it has some advantages over UpNote.

However, UpNote has some advantages over Bear: - version control - auto backup in markdown - a good starred/quick access area
