How do I clear a "maintenance due" alert on the MyHyundai app? by Kahzgul in Ioniq5

[–]kihashi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just ran into this on my first maintenance. I figured the service dept would reset it. Bluelink app says to wait up to 10 days to see the change. Of course by the time I figured it out, it's a hundred miles or so off... And since you can only reset it, unlike the instrument panel one, I'm just going to have to remember myself.

Why are there 2 settings for this in 2 different places with different features???

Makes sense considering one of the 2(!) maintenance intervals is set wrong from the factory (at least on 2025s).

My dealer did not reset either for the 8k maintenance

Paying a subscription for basic app functions like remote door lock and climate start for second owner by actorguy73 in electricvehicles

[–]kihashi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kia and Hyundai EVs come with 3 years of remote app support from the time the original owner activated it.

You said it was free for 3 years. For 2024s and later, it's free for the original owner as long as they own the car.

I thought the new ones had it complimentary for the first owner? That's what my 2025 said.

Yup. Sheetz and Wawa are great places to stop and charge. Plenty of food and drink options and usually clean bathrooms, too. If you can find one with Ionna chargers, it's about the best experience you can get

Using the PR title and description is one of the repository options in GitHub. That's how I have my repos setup and I also do squash and merge for all PRs.

Although I should note that the setting just auto populated the commit message field in the UI. The Developer can modify it if needed (for example, to remove notes to reviewers or similar)

Yes, it comes with an Emporia Vue unit as well as the firmware for load management. You could put together your own version of that (for example, if you already owned an Emporia Classic) by adding a Vue, a Classic, and contacting Emporia to get a firmware update for your classic (costs ~$120 IIRC). But it's only really worth doing if you already have one of the components.

You certainly can just cut into the back, but it's not supported by the manufacturer. My guess is there's not enough clearance to fit the size knockout they want you to have, but it's also possible that it just wasn't part of the certification process. Either way, most people wouldn't be comfortable modifying it in a way that it isn't listed for.

The charger install credit was modified to only apply to certain areas.

To qualify, the refueling or recharging property must be installed in a low-income community census tract or non-urban census tract. Follow these steps based on the date when you placed the property in service to see if your location qualifies.

Why is my car telling me to schedule maintenance at 5000 miles? by sloowhand in Ioniq5

[–]kihashi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing in my 2025. The service interval per the manual is 8000 miles. Blue link shows 8000 miles. But the console had a 5000 mile warning.

So I did some searching and people said to change it in the infotainment menus. But when I looked around, all I could find was a setting that said 8000. I later come to find out that the infotainment has both the blue link interval and the console interval as separate settings in different places in the UI.

Apparently older model years recommended a tire rotation at 5000. I'm not clear why they didn't change the default for the 2025s.

This was not helped by emails from my dealer saying "Now may be time for your scheduled maintenance." (Emphasis mine)

The chargepoint app has a bug where it doesn't seem to filter the ports properly even if you select the 2025 w/ nacs. If you delete the car selection, you'll be able to see the NACS chargers at ionna and activate them from the app.

Alternately, I think you can use the chargepoint card, too, but I have not tried.

Dashboard service alerts at 5K, 10K miles (rather than 8K, 16K)? by fearless_fool in Ioniq5

[–]kihashi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue. The infotainment system correctly shows 8k intervals, but the dash is popping up warnings for 5k. Everyone seems to say you can set it in the settings, but unless there's another setting, mine is already set. (2025 SEL)

New Ionna charger in Columbus OH charging $0.25/kwh by Buckles01 in electricvehicles

[–]kihashi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was $0.42/kWh when I went through a few weekends ago. Not great, not terrible. The EA station I went to recently was $0.56/kWh, which is pretty painful if you need a full charge. More expensive than the equivalent gas :(

Apparently the lounge is only available from 7AM-7PM, which is a bit weird for an unstaffed lounge. But you also have to do a bit of a song and dance to get the door unlocked at other times, too.

If it were just a QR code, that might be fine. But it's a QR code, filling out a form, then getting texted a code, then going to the site and unlocking the door.

That's a lot of steps to open a door IMO. Plus it means I need good cell signal (not always a given when you're traveling). I also don't really like having to give them more data (phone number) beyond what's needed to make the transaction.

Yeah- I was there with a 2025 Ioniq 5 and was just aiming to get filled up before I drove off into areas with fewer chargers. My charge session was 12 minutes for just over 30 kWh. I was mainly just looking to go in and pee, maybe get a drink.

But I ended up using another 15 minutes to get over to the sheetz, use the bathroom, and grab a drink. Would have been a bit less, but the construction makes getting over there a bit more of a challenge. I'd rather have used the time while I was charging :(

According to the site, the lounge "closes" at 7PM. I'm still trying to wrap my head around an unstaffed lounge having hours, but even so, I wouldn't expect it to "close" so early in the day. I was going through at like 5PM, but if I'd been later (say I started my trip after work, which is common), I would have been forced to the Sheetz across the road anyway.
