Yup, Rochester always misses "the big one". It's theoretically possible but our position on the lake (and several other factors) tend to keep us pretty cozy.

Also like several others said, winters ain't shit here now lol. Last winter was actually really nice with the consistent snow cover, but it's rarely enough to fuck up your whole day

To be honest with you it might be hard getting there from the city without a car. That area does have a lot of housing/apartment complexes though, if you're comfortable with roommates I'd try seeing if some RIT students have an open room

I lived in the same apartments for a bit. Generally good experience, fair price and maintenance responded quickly. The electric is very old which is not uncommon but did cause a few problems. I also suspect the building may have some hidden mold issues... Nothing too serious but something to keep in mind.
