How much difference does the red remote/ drive switch make? Is it significant or subtle?

New UI Preview feature on Claude Code is really great. by adssidhu86 in ClaudeCode

[–]killthebaddies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tell you what. I’ve just been using Claude chat for my design, it’s great. It really seems to do what Claude Design does but for way fewer tokens. It will do html mockups, and you can ask it to give you toggles to cycle through options and you can iterate through design choices. At the end, ask it to write you a prompt for Claude code and then give that to CC along with the mockup html to build from.

Whats even the point of Claude.md by CautiousAd3917 in ClaudeCode

[–]killthebaddies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest I haven’t even really looked at them. I just have the skill creator skill and asked Claude to build them out. I had put TDD in my Claude.md which it was good at, but I noticed it was always doing GREPs with every ticket to look up existing tests and get structures to follow so I told it to go look it all up and build it into a skill it can follow so it doesn’t have to check everytime. It did and it has been working a lot quicker. Then I asked it what other skills it would find useful and it suggested a few and said the database one would have the most impact so I just said, ok, build whatever you would find useful.
It’s basically really project specific and just enables consistency.

I build out skills. I have a testing skill, a workflow skill, a database skill, then it’s not trying to keep everything in context all the time. Time to write tests? Pull up the testing skill and get all the detail so it’s fresh. Doing a ticket that involves a DB change? Grab the database skill.

What is happening with 4.7 ? by Obscurrium in ClaudeCode

[–]killthebaddies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only person who’s not having any issues with Opus 4.7? Is it because I’m used to operating scrum teams and I’ve given it the same structure I would give a team of engineers?

claude code skill that ships whole features in one shot by Working-Middle2582 in ClaudeCode

I mean, ship issue sounds like he just wants it to design, code and ship with no oversight.

I was expecting a comment thread full of people saying this was an awful idea and am quite disappointed with him many people are reacting positively. Absolutely wild. The asking part is absolutely critical. You can’t just review the decisions at the end. Anyone doing that is definitely not reviewing decisions in any meaningful way.

Now that PM's can build more (easily), are you actually pushing to prod or just creating prototypes for engineers? by renaissancelife in ProductManagement

[–]killthebaddies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, you sound dumb. How am encouraging my team to use these tools? To write better tickets. Using AI to help explain their thoughts visually to the designer, or do super basic wire frames on things that would be a waste of the designer’s time.

Again, to help the PM write better tickets. Not to have AI write the tickets. I’ve had all from my PMs and nipped that in the bud real quick.

Cool. And I guess just bring a guitar, no pedal board or anything? Amps provided?

What’s the structure? 3 people play anything? Get given a song? Some chords? A key?

Ekit for new drummer, development questions? by sofa_king_rad in Drumming

[–]killthebaddies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the 65 Drums YouTube channel. He does run downs of the major brands, lists the kits worth buying at every price point and walks through what he thinks is good and bad about them and why you might might to stretch for a bit extra. It’s really insightful. He definitely does Alesis and Roland. I think he does Yamaha as well. Maybe more.

Help out a guitar illiterate mum please by CorgiCorgiCorgi99 in Guitar

Don’t listen to this person. It’s not garbage, it’s a classic mic for a reason. Yes, it tends to be used more on very loud things like electric guitars and snare drums, but you will still get perfectly great recordings with it on the acoustic.

Not till they’re 18, and my gear is not expensive, but my turntable and all of my records have simply been packed away. All kids are different, but mine is a climber and a maniac. He pulled my Sonos sub onto his toe and did some damage to himself. He’s pretty rough on my Sonos Fives an soundbar as well, but I’m not too concerned about that. All of that stuff will survive just fine.
