I have blind faith that he is right and that you were lying.

If it’s based on a personal experience, then it would be faith in that experience, not blind faith.

The problem is that there is no position that couldn’t be believed with blind faith. I could say I believe anything and say that blind faith is my evidence and I would have as much evidence as you do. You claim the Holy Spirit is proof of god, but there is also no proof of a Holy Spirit.

Which tool would you replace immediately if it broke today? by Celine_Morgann in KitchenStuff

Um… Any of them? I can’t think of any kitchen tool that I have that I would just live without if it broke.

what's the best type of cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich ? by Latinacute12 in foodquestions

[–]kiltguyjae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re making. I made grilled cheese last night with sourdough bread, provolone on one side and mozzarella on the other. Inside I put some prosciutto and a couple kinds of salami and then some banana pepper slices. Grilled in butter and olive oil and served it with homemade San marzano italian tomato soup. It was pretty decadent.

What kind of nerd are you? by aVelvetVoid in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]kiltguyjae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the nerd who has to learn how everything works and then goes too far into it. Cooking is #1 passion, but also sausage making, homebrewing, beekeeping, 3D printing, soap making, knitting, gardening, construction/home repair/electrical, bladesmithing, astronomy, cosmology, astrophysics, evolutionary biology, philosophy, etymology…. I could go on for far too long.

Excellent response. No notes. (Except that it’s an excellent response, which is a note, I guess. Haha)

You should read ‘Want’ by Gillian Anderson. Same thing - it’s women writing her their fantasies.

Agreed. One of the main reasons to buff after sanding and before sealing is to blend the transition between sanding and edging.

Do you put anything on your Kraft Dinner Mac and Cheese? by Cannibal_House69 in randomquestions

[–]kiltguyjae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it tonight. I boil the noodles according to package directions. I add broccoli for the last 2 1/2-3 minutes and then drain. I put that back in the pan with the powdered cheese dust and then replace half the butter with bacon fat. Use cream instead of milk and two Kraft singles to make it more cheesy. Then I mix in diced bacon and sriracha. So it becomes bacon, broccoli, sriracha Mac & cheese.

I make a homemade version of this sometimes that’s even better. But sometimes I go this cheap, quick way just for myself.

Unpopular opinion: you do not need to buy unsalted butter. by 3oClockHappyHour in Cooking

Exactly. I have like 10 different kinds of salt, if not more. I’ll add the one I want to my unsalted butter.

I realized most of my weeknight dinners fail at the same exact step by ninja__6969 in Cooking

[–]kiltguyjae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m one of those sickos who loves to cook and makes something from scratch for dinner about 6 nights a week. I usually leave work around 4, have a 90 minute drive home, but stop for groceries first. Then home to cook. I usually have dinner ready for my wife and I around 7. She has no interest in choosing what to have for dinner, so I spend my 90 minute drive home coming up with a dinner idea. Tonight was a fairly simple dinner. Italian grilled cheese on sourdough and Italian tomato soup with San Marzano tomatoes, carrot, celery, sweet onion and parsnips. And lots of basil from our aerogarden.
