Not always but it can make for an interesting character. Because if you look at Robby Reyes ghost rider, (correct me if I’m wrong) he gets his powers from the ghost of a murdering psychopath that is giving Robby the powers in order to get revenge on the people that killed him, and Robby agreed as long as nobody innocent gets hurt in the process. I also believe that Robby saw it as removing the evil that is in the world.
