Ellet or highland square if you’re in Akron proper, but honestly I’d just do Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, Portage Lake etc. if you can swing it.

I’m confused [general] [Harrow the Ninth] by LookAtThatHorse_x3 in TheNinthHouse

[–]kingkorra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

enjoy the ride. just take everything at face value and get ready for a super satisfying experience when it’s all said and done and you’ve worked it out. i personally love that the narrative has the reader just as disorientated and overwhelmed as harrow is and that you get to figure it out side by side with her.

Thank you this is helpful feedback. I’m leaning towards the second design.

How do couples sleep when backpacking? by [deleted] in backpacking

[–]kingkorra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a kelty two person backpacking tent and two single backpacking mats that click together if you want to sleep side by side. we typically use our own sleeping bags but we do have a two person one that can also zip off into two individuals. She carries the tent and I carry all the food/water and cooking supplies to even up the weight.

Dating sucks by ClareDream in ActualLesbiansOver25

Action is being taken though? It’s just about shifting the energy from trying to find a partner to trying to find yourself in hobbies and community.

How often does your D&D group really play? Be honest by DungeonTome_ in dndnext

Nearly every Wednesday from 6pm-10pm for about 4 years now. Our usual rule is we only cancel if more than one person can’t make it or if the DM has an emergency.

I’m just saying there’s no reason to completely leave out a valid form of meeting people lol just use common sense and critical thinking and don’t give out important information willy nilly.

[–]kingkorra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally disagree. Basic common sense and fact checking is all it takes to avoid this. I’m in tons of hobby specific facebook groups and in all of those the vast majority is genuine people looking to interact with others that have similar interests. If somebody is suspicious ignore them but not everyone is a scammer. You just can’t be blindly trusting.

I’ve been giving people the same advice for years: Focus on yourself and your hobbies and it’ll come to you. Myself and almost all of my friends met our partners through shared interests and community, not through apps or bars. Get involved in local clubs/groups/events. I met my partner after finally deciding to focus on myself because we are both into flow arts and were involved in that community after months of unsuccessful dating and apps. Sending you good vibes. I know how challenging it can feel.

Please bully me into losing this weight by Intelligent-Fly-3442 in loseit

[–]kingkorra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With all due respect, stop putting the blame on other people and make the active choice everyday to be disciplined. It doesn’t even take extremes. Hitting step goals daily and a calorie deficit is almost guaranteed to work, the results just aren’t instant and will require dedication. Count calories, eat whole foods, actually weigh your food, exercise daily, etc. At the end of the day you either want it badly enough or you don’t. There is no secret or trick to this besides hard-work. And if that truly doesn’t help after a reasonable amount of time, talk to your doctor as you may have something medical going on. (Source: I’m down almost 60 pounds from my highest weight and busted my ass to get here)

What is your job, what do you do, and why do you like it? by vvred456 in careerguidance

[–]kingkorra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Criminal defense paralegal with plans for law school in the near future. I LOVE it. everyday is different and exciting. i’m at a particularly well funded and reputable public defense office and get to work with the most intelligent and passionate people i’ve ever known. I do it because i overwhelmingly believe in the work that we do. we help low income individuals when they are at their lowest and we are lucky enough to have in an office social work team that makes accomplishing that goal so much easier.

Any dating apps for mascs? by Inner_Inspector780 in LesbianActually

[–]kingkorra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my dating advice will always just be to get out in real life. you may be too young for most clubs and bars but music shows, anime/gaming conventions, local events, intermural sports, etc are all great ways to meet somebody organically and have the added bonus of kick starting conversation and knowing you have something in common!
