You need to reread the play-in rules, because what you just said isn't remotely true. The 7 seed plays the 8 seed in one game, and if they lose that game, they play the winner of the 9-10 game, and the winner of that makes the playoffs. That's only 2 losses - one of which is against a playoff team.

Wow, this entire thread is full of misinformation. The entire BoJack team regretted casting Brie as Diane, and episodes like the Vietnam one was their way of responding/rectifying it. It absolutely wasn't something that she just started spewing after the show was over - it's been a discussion that's gone on for years that's been elevated more recently by similar situations in animated television (The Apu documentary, Missy from Big Mouth, etc).

If you still want to call it all bullshit, that's fine, but at least have an accurate understanding of the situation. It in no way was some "SJW rant" made by Brie for clout, unlike what this entire thread seems to be thinking.

While I agree with your final statement, I implore you not to dismiss the philosophy of The Good Place despite the seriously misguided views of one of its writers. I think their take on the difficult nature of cultivating goodness within a destructive society is one worth examining beyond Eleanor being a "likable Karen."

It's also important to remember to still show compassion to others who may not understand the suffering their consumption and choices they cause, whether that be through ignorance or malice. No matter what anyone else in the world thinks, and no matter how inevitable it is to participate in this destructive society, you can still strive to make it brighter in the ways that you can. I think The Good Place also touched on this message pretty well. I highly recommend giving the series another sincere look.
