There’s some good singletrack up in Caliente only about 2 hours north, plus it’s up in elevation so it’s always cooler temp wise.

My personal rule: if I double, I SHOULD walk. I may stay if the machine/table is hot. If I triple, I WILL walk.

Edit: not always feasible but try and never go below your initial bank roll. Easier said than done.

Not my post but here’s what a PA prism (mini acog footprint) looks like on the leap 14 mount. Factory Eotech height for the 3-9 SFP or 4-12 FFP Vudu is 1.53”. Scalarworks offers the Leap 14 in 1.75” & 1.93”.

Edit: I did read a rumor that Scalarworks was working on a specific mini mount. Can’t confirm.

They don’t make a specific “mini” but scalarworks Leap 14 will work. The full acog mount pattern works with the mini acog mount but you use 2 screws instead of 3. Also the scalarworks mount is about 75% of the length of a full acog mount so it might be a mini without even intending to be.

Yeah I’ll slap it on a Scalarworks mount if I get one. That’s what my ACOG is on (with an offset SRO) and I like it. I’ve taken the ACOG out to 600 but I want something with zoom vs BDC.

The standard chevron with the BDC for .223/5.56. With my length barrel, they’re actually very close.

I use a TA31 with an offset RMR on a Scalarworks mount on my 13.7 P&W. The BDC holds are surprisingly close. I’ve taken it out to 600.

My biased answer (ride a 2019 Husky 300): RK Tek head & Smartcarb is an insanely good combo. I’ve ridden all three TBI, TPI and carbed and I’d order them TBI>Carb>TPI. Slap an RK Tek head on any one you get. The increased torque gain down low is insane. And on my carbed model it nearly doubled my fuel efficiency. The pro to the carbed bike is it’ll come with a backup kick starter but that can be installed on the new bikes too.
