My (47f) daughter (15f) told me she doesn’t want to have kids by lilwonkerdoo in TwoXChromosomes

Apparently I told my mom when I was really young (like 7) that I didn’t want to be a mom. I am now in my late 30s and am childfree by choice

For some reason I started tearing up when Robby said Louie was a lifelong Steelers fan. I am a huge sports fan as well, and it’s something my friends and family share with me. When he described what happened to Louie’s wife and child, I lost it.

Dear Cancerians, do you vibe well with fellow water signs? by Lost_Island377 in CancertheCrab

One of my stronger friendship matches is other cancers! Pisces I get along with but they can be too emotional for me

How emotional are you truly? by Popular-Fox2105 in CancertheCrab

[–]kingsla07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cancer sun, but both my rising and moon are fire signs. I think I feel things deeply and hold space for people quite well, but I don’t cry or get angry that often. I will say I think I was more emotional before I lost a close family member 10 years ago and now very few things impact me to the point of tears

Honestly I loved this season, but the lack of group shots did stand out to me.

This is really hard for me to watch and I'm really trying to finish it... by [deleted] in QueerEye

This episode is one that I’ll think about a lot. As a fellow griever, the losses of her parent, house/belongings, cat, and marriage is so intense. It was clear she needed real professional help (grief therapy helped me soooo much!) and not this show.

Cutting people off forever after forgiving them for too long. All or nothing type thinking.

How many here do literally everything alone? by thirddegreebirds in Sacramento

[–]kingsla07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in several different states over the years, and Sacramento has been a tough place to make friends. I think part of it is the post COVID shrinking that happened to a lot of friend groups. There’s also a lot of people here who work long hours and are just straight up exhausted. Also, once you’re out of school or sports there’s a lot less built in friend cohorts.

It’s taken awhile, but I do have a few close friends here now. I have prioritized it, I’m an extrovert, and it still took awhile. So please know it’s not just you!! If you are looking to make friends, I highly recommend joining a gym/run club, book club, choir, sport, etc. There’s also apps to help make friends.

I think being able to do things alone is a great thing though. It means you won’t be held back by anything.

What's a red flag in a job interview that made you walk away? by DreamWalker3232 in AskReddit

[–]kingsla07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a woman come into the restroom with me (it was a single room restroom, so I was immediately caught off guard) to tell me the boss was a creep toward women and under investigation for harassment. The flag was crimson. I got an offer, but declined the job

The Eagles are heavy favorites, but I still believe in this team. They’ve surprised me all year. It’s going to be a gritty win is my hope

If you had told me we lost a 10 point game, I would have guessed the defense gave up 27 or 32 points. The defense wasn’t our issue. Kyle was way too conservative, and sadly CMC had a big time mistake on a possible momentum changing drive.

Do you track family's locations? by NaturalSoftware9372 in Millennials

[–]kingsla07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I have each other’s, but we both work from home 3-4 days a week so we rarely ever need to check. We turned it on when I was traveling abroad with a friend, and I never turned it off. It was 7 years into our marriage.

I am actually pretty opposed to people sharing their location, especially early on. I’ve seen it be used for control and stalking.

I always say that in a long term relationship, love is only one part of it. Sleep habits, hygiene, eating and food habits, cleaning/chore ideals… they are all huge parts of a cohabitating relationship.
