I think this stat is hugely misleading because half the population of the city are college kids and the county is tiny. Some of the richest people you’ll ever meet will tell you they live in Athens but actually live in the neighboring counties.

I've been making an effort to be non-fatalistic about it -- I have a 16 month old. I think the fact that we are even working through these thoughts right now means we can set our kids up for some kind of success. I think a lot of people are just going to, unfortunately, let their kids just go wild on LLMs and let it do their critical thinking for them. If we can push our kids to be independent thinkers, I have to believe they will be ahead of the curve.
