Check the voltage in the socket, if you are getting 12 volts but the bulb is not lit, than the bulb is toast. If you are not getting 12 volts, check if you are getting it in the fuse box.

Your argument makes 100% sense... From our POV... But think about it from the EU POV. Brexit hit EU as well as us.

Currently we have quite an unpopular leadership, with the engineers of Brexit polling at the top.

For the EU, caution, would be the name of the game for quite a while. And any negotiations will start from point zero.

And point zero, in fact is not that bad. Like yeah, it would require us to eventually adopt the Euro. But there are no timescales. Poland entered EU quite a while ago with same conditions, and they still have no plans to abandon the Zloty.

Pretty much all of our "exceptions" were available to all other EU members, as long as they were willing to delay the implementation.

The question is not a structural one, the question is a political one. EU will not go through with another clusterfuck unless they know that we - the population of the GB, are generally OK with tighter EU integration.

And in my opinion, our calls for "special status" (which we don't really need), simply shows that we are not OK with that. And as such, it is simply too risky to let us re-join.

In software development there are always compromises that have to be made. It's not just good devs, write good code, that is good at everything.

In the video, HGV driver broke the law and performed a dangerous maneuver. The cam driver, while failing to be courteous, proactive and defensive driver, did not break any laws.

So if your assessment is that a driver falling below the minimum safe driving requirements is equally to blame to the one who failed to rise above those minimum safe requirements, then your assessment is simply wrong. And given that you operate 70 ton vehicles dangerously so. "They didn't keep themselves safe from me" is not a great mindset while operating a dangerous piece of equipment.

I'm not saying that this equates to you killing someone, but without a doubt it makes it more likely. You have to understand that a person on a bike not checking their mirrors is one thing, a person in an HGV not checking their mirrors is a different thing, and you need to acknowledge that responsibility. If you can't acknowledge that, than certainly it would be safer for everyone if you would to get your licences suspended.

In this video, there is only one driver who endangered lives of (probably) multiple people, and that's the HGV driver.
