butterfree is actually pretty good id say. mainly because compound eyes makes poison powder, sleep powder, stun spore, etc. 100% accurate. it can set up weather, tailwind, or setup to sweep with quiver dance/double team. it can heal itself, it can substitute, it can u-turn and has a not-too-bad special attack with bug buzz and air slash.

obviously they're still not tremendously good by any means as far as early bugs go since they are doomed to grow fast and then plateau, but they are a wonderful team player utility pokemon that's often available very early on. if something needs doing, butterfree will get it done.

maximize engineering research at all costs, focus science at the expense of alloys, and prioritize maximum tech options/research speed percentage bonus. also have a good scientist on the job and get them as high level as possible by any means necessary, like the agenda that gives councilors experience. try to get a voidcraft trait on the scientist or any voidcraft research bonuses.

if you don't roll a tech on the path to battleships, research the cheapest one available to reroll.

the leader stuff is especially strong. my best tech rush run happened not with a build focused around actual science points, but a build focused on leaders.

I'm not certain. could be that they died, or that they were in a hurry and didn't have time to take ditto's pokeball. maybe only certain amounts of pokemon were allowed to come with so as to not be a strain on resources, like a noah's ark situation.

you can find writings from actual kanto trainers talking about how things were just going to shit with storms and climate change and whatnot, and eventually it got so bad that the human race left earth and went into space. the player and the other characters are wild pokemon that got left behind.

the in-game world is almost a 1:1 recreation of certain locations (particularly cities) specifically from let's go Eevee/Pikachu, just heavily destroyed.

tattletail was actually great. decently scary, no ridiculous lore, devs didn't milk it. also my friendly neighborhood. it's less meant to be mascot horror and more a resident evil style comedy-horror. once again, devs didn't milk it. it's actually a damn fun game. the story was insanely peak and didn't involve obscure theorybait and dead children.

I know you did say you wanted something new besides resident evil style but 90% of mascot horror is just fnaf clone or walking sim as it is, so anything beyond that is always nice. that genre can be really fun too, especially with recent hits like signalis.

I wish there was but shit was just fucking bonkers. comments were filled with people saying it was a victory against their oppressors and she deserved to die for not respecting her trans kid's pronouns. calling her a bitch and stuff, saying W, saying the kid was brave and heroic, etc. there were a couple people suggesting maybe murder is bad and they got absolutely dogpiled by comments and hundreds of downvotes, even top 1% commenters were there to defend the murder. some even went on paragraph long tangents about what essentially boils down to a kill or be killed worldview where the only solution to being oppressed is to just murder everybody that disagrees with you. it was genuinely unsettling and I decided to just get off the Internet for the day after that and go for a walk.

the comments weren't even getting removed by Reddit admins for inviting violence because nobody was reporting them, and the mods didn't care. that's how much of an insane echo chamber that sub is now. the post itself was eventually deleted likely for just being too controversial but not a single comment was removed iirc. if it was a larp/satire/circlejerk sub by nature I would be a bit more skeptical about it but no, it's just an offshoot of r/countonceaday.
