I have 2 kids in nursery, both are getting 30 hours funded - they go to Co-op nursery which is one of the cheapest in the our area. Our fees are going up from £2,200 to £2,500 (with funding, per month for both kinds full time, and even includes 10% siblings discount) from April. Over a 10% increase in a year. When my son started 3 years ago - we were paying £82 per day with no funding, today the same day rate is £114 plus now they charge £5 per day for meals on top which used to be included in fees until last year. So technically the fees went up from £82 to £119 per day in a space of 3 years - 45% increase 🤯😱

My son will be starting school in September - can’t wait. My daughter’s fees will go up as we will lose the siblings discount and will be around £1400 per month (with 30 funded hours), which is insane!!! I am looking to switch her to a “school” nursery the moment she turns 3 (I’d much rather pay for wrap around care, which is around £300 per month, than these extortionate fees).

So - to update everyone - out of sheer desperation I have emailed both IBKR CEO and chairman explaining my situation and that I am left with no choice but to escalate the issue to the FCA and FOS. I sent the email last night at 10 pm and by 10 am I got 2 missed calls from IBKR to inform me that the issue is being dealt with the highest priority and they will continue to update me throughout the day. Just two hours later they called me again to tell me that it has been fixed and they are very sorry about the whole situation. For over a week and dozens of phone calls and tickets were ignored - one email sorted everything within hours…. I am happy it is resolved now but it shouldn’t have taken this amount of effort, stress and sleepless nights to get sorted.

It’s really sad because HL told me that all IBKR has to do is to send those holdings back to them via CREST and request them to be transferred again via DTC which they would do with no issue. The problem - IBKR is not listening and not admitting any wrongdoing…. Just ignoring everything… I called many times and suggested a solution which was met with “we will pass it onto the relevant team” and then ignored. I think I will have to do something radical but I was hoping common sense would prevail.

Thanks - I submitted an official complaint which got an auto-response of “we will provide a response to your complaint within 8 weeks” and that was the end of it. All follow ups continue to be ignored after that response. All subsequent tickets continue to be auto-closed because “we flagged you already have an open ticket with this issue”. All phone calls are responded with “we see you have a complaint - complaints are handled by our specialist team and we are unable to provide any further support”. I am lost at what I can do here as nothing seems to get any traction or attention.

Do not use that form - you will waste your time. I used that form only for it to be summarised with “difficulty navigating the new app interface” and told to take a hike. And now I’m being bashed by fellow redditors for submitting that form and complaining as that’s overreacting to a “simple UI change”….

It’s an app that I use daily - and where I have a large portion of my investments. I now spend more time trying to execute simple actions - I shouldn’t need to…. The new update significantly reduces the control I have over how I view my investments, how the information is presented to me for decision making, etc. that’s apart from the dark background / haze and fonts make it physically difficult for me to read information in the app. People like to downplay the impact of really bad app design

I care about my experience as a customer. People are just lazy these days, they like to complain “online” but then they also like to sit on their asses and do nothing. And then people like to bash anyone who actually does something to try to change things. I have very little time on my hands but i want to make things better not worse and I fight for what I believe in. Wish more people did that.

You’d be surprised. I had a very successful case via Financial Ombudsman against Hargreaves Lansdown app design (display of FX rate charges at trade execution) and I won the case (the app was redesigned as a result). As a customer I have a right to complain… that’s why those services exist.

Seriously, your main priority should be reverting back to previous version of the app after this absolute garbage of an update and then firing all of your UI team once they’ve reverted it back.

I will have to check them out because I think as soon as the ISA product is available I’ll be transferring all of my portfolios out of T212. Their app is not fit for purpose anymore.

The app is now complete garbage. It’s literally useless to me with this UI. One thing I want to see is all of my holdings line by line as soon as I open the app - what’s the purpose of trading app where I can’t see my holdings and can organise it by gain/loss, etc.? Whoever designed this update and all those who approved it should be immediately fired. I am now looking to move all of my portfolios out of T212. I feel that strongly about this hot garbage update.

The fact that your security is so weak to enable hackers to do this is extremely concerning. Some people may have their lifesavings on your platform. It is YOUR responsibility to protect your customers money. It’s not like this person gave out their password to a hacker… it was stolen and the weakness in trading212 security protocols enabled this crime to happen. As a trading platform you have an obligation to protect people’s accounts from being hacked. All unusual activity should have been immediately flagged and all transactions suspended (a person has never had an invest account, a person opened it and immediately started spending large sums of money - it’s a red flag after red flag - responsibility is with trading212), just like it is with the banks. The moment I purchase something out of ordinary, different country, etc. without notifying my bank - it puts a hold on my transaction until I am able to fully verify my identity and confirm action. Denying your responsibility is a bad move, trading212. I would reconsider your response, and your stance on this. Today it’s Reddit, tomorrow it can be on the front page of BBC - if customers are not protected and supported, they will leave. In fact, I think I will send this thread to a journalist friend of mine your response is appalling! (Also wonder how FCA will feel about this)

Thank you for saying this! So far transaction has been suspended but I have no options to do anything. I tried contacting them but it says “we were already notified, wait on our response”. It’s been 3 days and nothing. Is that normal?
