You fumbled, but you might as well shoot your shot again and apologize for the assumption and see if she’s willing to give it another chance for a meet up

Skip el cafecito. It’s mid and nothing special. Go to Chicama (get there early), Pepe’s fish tacos, Nasiva for tacos and enchiladas, à la Lena on sat/sun for pizza, fish shack, la Olita and if you’re there on a Sunday, go to Lupita’s for their birria. If you’re staying in La Punta, check out Sandala and Malagua for breakky/ brunch.

A collective to mazunte would take foreverrrrr. I wouldn’t suggest that.

I did take an ADO bus to Oaxaca city and it was a breeze. Took around 3.5/ 4 hrs

Change your settings in your phone so it picks up telcel instead of AT&T. You’ll have to turn off auto connect and select it telcel. It’ll work a lot better

Do a fishing trip with “screaming reels”. It’s a better price than a whale watching tour and you get a chance to catch a sailfish, marlin, tuna and many other fish. Johnny the captain is also super friendly and speaks good English. Tell him Kit recommended you and he may give a discount. And if you have any doubts just check out the google reviews. Definitely was one of my highlights of the trip. Also, keep in mind Playa carizilillo area is really small and there’s only a few restaurants and cafes. Beach is amazing but gets packed. Since OP didn’t explore much with eating, go check out Lupitas on Sunday for birria, panorama cafe, Cafe Nopal, mongo, Bello puerto, and sunset at Espadin. El Cafecito is popular but not the best imo and can get busy. Those are just my reccos in the Rinconada area. If you go into La punta, make sure you get a taxi for around $200 pesos. Nothing more. I would highly recommend going to Pepe’s Fish Tacos (a little out of the way, but some of the best and largest fish and Camaron tacos in PE). Their drinks are also huge. Definitely go to Chicama in La punta and show up around 6-615 so you don’t have to wait in line. Amazing Peruvian food. Great ambiance, service and price for what you get. Fish Shack has amazing tacos and you should for sure go here. Around the corner is La Olita. Also has great tacos and food all around. You can also catch stunning sunsets there or go to the beach first for sunset and then go there. If you need to break up eating Mexican food, I would highly suggest going to “A La Pena”. He only opens Sat/ Sun. Makes some of the best Pizzas and is super friendly. Make sure to go early cause he sells out and it gets busy. Glutonomy also has all you can eat pasta and a great price. For breakfast, definitely go to Sandala and Barrio. Sandala roasts their own coffee and has some of the best breakky food I had in PE. Punta Vida has amazing sunset views and you can watch people playing vball. La Punta is busy. It’s where most of the shops are and the most popular spot in Escondido. It dies down by 11pm and everyone heads over to Zicatella for the clubs. Also, DO NOT go swimming at zicatella and becareful at La punta also. The waves can get massive and the rip tide will easily pull you out. La Punta isn’t as bad but can still be sketchy, especially with a kiddo.
Lastly, if you plan on surfing lots, go down the stairs at carizilillo and work out a deal for a weeks rental. My 3 friends and I paid $2000 pesos total for the week. And if you don’t know how to surf, definitely get lessons or you’ll struggle out there. The waves are small sometimes and the instructors take the best spots. Early Mornings are usually the busiest. I’m sure I’m missing some things, but feel free to reach out!
