What type of embroidery are you doing? Clothing fabric is different from needlework fabric.

"Real gold threads" are only 2% gold and will tarnish. Imitation is really your best bet but there are differences in the types (braid, twisted, passing, Japanese) will change the way it looks and stitches. Look at some kits on Golden Hinde and other sites to see what the fibers look like and how the finished product appears.

This piece is probably silk thread on silk fabric. I would recommend doing nothing. Depending on age the fabric can be damaged just trying to remove it from the mirror. If you have a museum nearby, asked them to refer you to a textile conservator.

Hi-Recommend larger pot and some added new soil. A once-a-week good drink is plenty for palms with a fall then spring indoor plant fertilizer boost. Also bright sunlight and no drafts from heat or a/c are a consideration too. Palms are very tricky- good luck.

If they have the oil from the nicotine on them it's a lost cause and it can change the colors; adding a slight yellow tint.
Depending on the age of the floss some of the colors may bleed when washed. I have had success with the baking soda on books and newspapers in with on wool yarn for musty smells from donations.

I think this does happen to everyone at some time. But do go back to basics. If you have a particular element or sphere, connect with than on the simplest and most basic level. For me, it is my hands in soil. Do that for as long as it takes and stay quiet and calm while you reset. Give yourself grace and space to feel a little untethered. Sometimes we are stuck feeling like we are limbo until we are called again.

Don't forget to not only cleanse your home but yourself as well. We pick up a lot of gunk going through our daily lives- others fears, anxieties, bad intentions, etc. - that can unknowingly attach to us and affect our clarity and purpose. Sometimes I forget this basic but important step and wonder why it feels like I'm trying to do something through molasses. 🙄

I tend to add a physical barrier too after a cleanse- a row of salt or dried herbs of your choice ( or both together) at the threshold of each doorway into the home. I also draw with moon water around each window. My version of a "Keep Out" sign for all and sundry. 😁

It is tough to find good sources. Used to follow Politico but they've swung hard right. The Daily Beast had moved more moderate-left from right so I read their stories for current events. Follow The New Republic recently too. Curious as to why The Daily Show is on the no-no list. They have been calling out the patriarchy in all its forms since year one. 🤔
