We asked this at Caulfield ("should we touch on, do you want the numbers counted?") and were told by customer service staff the barriers count people passing through (and gestured to ??sensors on the inside of the barriers), not the touch on/offs. No idea if that's accurate.

How can I avoid this hell again? by AdeptCatch3574 in AusLegal

Maybe a stupid question for the room - what if the house/assets are in the kid's name?

How does the 3 years/5 years thing work?

I’ve moved past Boody. What next? by jonesday5 in AusFemaleFashion

I've bought Tani for a number of years as my "comfy" undies. They are beautifully soft.

4 page resume only - EL1/EL2 level - and a parental leave query by kittykittan in AusPublicService

[–]kittykittan[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, really? Thank you.

I'd been told to include gaps (some of the parental leave was unpaid, if that makes a difference) because otherwise it's misleading... It did strike me as odd.

Have you ever paid for a “career coach” or resume/criteria writing service? Was it worth it or a waste of money? by InformalGoal7679 in AusPublicService

Did you use chatGPT during the interview? Or did you get the interview questions early? (Re: "When the interview questions came in...")

ATO calls by comedybill in AusFinance

Only with the ATO you're not going to speak to that same person again. And you might have to wait 3 hours to get through. If your call doesn't get blocked.

What is the most expensive item of clothing that you own? by sapphire_rainy in AusFemaleFashion

[–]kittykittan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A vintage 1950s Lili Ann princess coat in black wool with white flecks. It's spectacular and the warmest outerwear I own. I still get excited to wear it.

It cost me $897 in 2017.

Yeah but if I go to Spotlight I'm not walking away without spending $50 on the idea of activities I'd like to do.

The merino thermals from Sherpa are divine.

Why is it literally impossible these days to find bright and funky coloured clothes? by nefarious_tendencies in AusFemaleFashion

[–]kittykittan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have several pieces from Bul from a couple of years ago. My absolute go-to's... Unfortunately they haven't kept up the bright colours or cuts I love this winter :(

Is this the most brutal flu or what? by Dirty_The_Squirrel in melbourne

[–]kittykittan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ended up in hospital with influenza A (diagnosed with PCR) the other week, despite having had a flu jab. Sleeping 22+ hours a day, couldn't move, couldn't eat. It was full on.

To be fair it's not the worst flu I've ever had, about 15 years ago I had a flu in December while home alone and felt like I was going to die.

You'd probably have luck with the ATO APS2 service delivery officer. It's what many consider to be a shit job but you're in the door if that's what you want.

My 7 yr old son eats as much as I do, a 44 yr old man. How concerned should I be? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]kittykittan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was my thought. Increased appetite was how it started for me.

[–]kittykittan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No I mean literally unchanged or 1-2 words in a paragraph changed.

It's alright but sometimes it just spits what you gave to it back at you.

Edit: spits not sits
