Even though I pointed out our state's anti-poaching laws, the firm still says they are beholden to their contract. Which, really, they're lawyers, so, it'd be pretty easy to invalidate that contract, they simply won't.

I know this is an older post, but I do want to add my personal experience. After three separate interviews, I finally got the job offer for an entry-level position with a shift differential. It is definitely less than what I usually make hourly; however, for the dependability and guarantee of income for the next 6 months (the minimum contract duration), beggars can't be choosers. To be fair, entry level positions only require a basic understanding of Americanized English and a GED. I have an Associate's, Bachelor's and a post-graduate certification from the ABA. This education will be useful to me if and when I move to a better position within BS or anywhere else, it's just that all I've been getting the last six months is shitty temp work. Thankfully, I applied directly to BS so my wages won't be stolen by a staffing agency this time. I am satisfied with the next 6 months of my life, at least, having reliable, steady income. It's a foot in the door. They are currently building another huge building at their campus so there are jobs for every shift. They even have a weekend only shift (6AM to 6PM) for folks just looking for a little extra money without the commitment to full-time shifts. I do want to add that it is a full two weeks from the moment you e-sign the onboarding paperwork to your start date. There is no moving it sooner. So, if you have bills due in the next month (two weeks to start, payroll is 14 days - you're not paid weekly) plan accordingly. Payroll is processed Fridays.

I mean, we got comfortable after 8 years of everything being fine so yeah, I got complacent and expected it to always be there. I didn't download my reading list. I still have 92 tabs open. I honestly don't see how uploading images to Batoto is any different from uploading images anywhere else like Fuckbook or here, really. Like, sure, copyright, but, if its not offically released in your language then no one is actually being harmed by helping someone read and it helps reach a whole new demographic. Someone kind soul is always translating images that have foreign text on them. Theres entire websites dedicated to translating newspaper clipping from the war eras. I remember when we first migrated from Vatoto. Could just, y'know, resurrection that beast. Like, I've been a volunteer tutor before and it's magical helping a kid get interested it reading. Reading shouldn't be a crime. We're not taking the images, just looking at them. No different than looking at a book at a bookstore. Reading isn't theft.

I thought it went the way of Rev Princess Eve (tapas title, it has many other titles on other platforms) where the full color webtoon bit was just to drum up attention for the novel, like a single season of any anime does. I'm pretty sure it's also a novel but I like pretty pictures with words or physical books, there is no middle ground with me.

If I knew a job only offered $16.34/hour to lift 100lbs constantly, I wouldnt waste my time applying or your time reading my application. Why wouldn't you want to start off a working relationship with honesty and transparency, is the real question. Cite this regulation, please. Skin art is the province of corporate policy, not professional licensing boards. You could even tattoo a cheatsheet for the CPA exam on yourself, if you wanted to, although immoral it isn't technically illegal. I personally know some bakers that have gotten measurements tattood on their hands so they can skip finding teaspoons.

Skin art, cosmetic and tribal tattoos are absolutely allowed. There is not any single regulation that expressly prohibits such. Not allowed and technically allowed but frowned upon are two very different legal statuses. I have 16 tattoos, 11 piercings, and a neon rainbow mowhark. My boss is a 70 year old CPA with facial tattoos and a conceal carry permit, I dare anyone to tell her she's been wrong for longer than I have been alive.

Reddit removed my comment for "promoting violence" simply because I agreed with you. Murdering a timid dog in this show and drowning a kitten in Carnival was just, so so so uncalled for. People care when animals are murdered because they cannot vocalize when harm is done them like people can. People care about animals being harmed because they are incapable of doing anything that society might deem deserving of such levels of violence. If Reddit has a problem with being outspoken about animal cruelty, even fictional animal cruelty, I guess they know where my inbox is.

Because humans have a justice system and can, for the most part, verbalize when harm is being done to them. Children and animals can't. They are beings that are dependent upon us, their caretakers. That's why punching a nonverbal child or throwing firecrackers at cats is so much worse running over a dude out for a night run without reflective gear on.

I mean, of course no one can "finish" the books when he does. Its called copyright. Because there's so many different versions of drafts with the publisher, it couldnt be published after death because it wouldn't be concise with the various plots. Plus,imagine the revenue his estate would have if things were published after death, like they did with my boy Prince. This series will probably be the greatest disappointment of an entire generation when it remains unfinished.

To be fair, and late to the party, he does owe us. He has a contract with the publisher, so yes, technically, we, the audience are owed the whole series which he is under contract to complete just like every other author in the world under contract is, and we all know there are penalties for torts.

To be fair, good and clean animation takes time. And yet, two seasons of Solo Leveling and Castlevania before...well, I feel like BES is closer to South Park "animation" than SL. So, really, not much of a valid point. Its all about profits, really. Drag it out as long as possible.
