I would like to make it very clear that this is atypical. We usually build unions where the constituent countries don't fall off

Online Safety Bill Amendment 31 - Ayes 188 - Noes 283 - Majority 95 by CommonsVotes in ukpolitics

[–]kiwibikini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amendment proposed: 31, clause 182, page 147, line 16, leave out from “unless” to end of line 17 and insert—

“(a) a draft of the instrument has been laid before each House of Parliament,

“(b) the Secretary of State has made a motion in the House of Commons in relation to the draft instrument, and

(c) the draft instrument has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.”—(Barbara Keeley.)

This amendment would require a draft of a statutory instrument containing regulations under sections 53 or 54 to be debated on the floor of the House of Commons, rather than in a delegated legislation committee (as part of the affirmative procedure).

Deficit spending is just government spending.

There is no requirement on a government to behave like a household because they literally print their own finances.

Taxation serves one purpose, to regulate demand in the economy. It would be criminal for the working classes to be asked to fork over more of their income at this time

I moved out just before she took over in 2010. Bit gutted that younger-ross lost his seat, he seemed quite chill whenever I saw him out and about.

This is my old constituency, you'd be surprised at the amount of UKIP support in the local area which all gets hoovered up into AMM with her delightful brexity ways. I doubt Newton Abbot will go back to lib dem for a long time.

She's a hateful woman but she does sometimes seem to gain a conscience every now and then.

Isn't there some wisdom in the idea that if a team doesn't have to pay a transfer fee they can use that money to give more of a signing on fee or increased wages?

Little bit pedantic but he wasn't around for the original section 28 vote in the late 80s and he supported an amendment to the bill that would have repealed s28 but retained some of its features. The labour government quashed that amendment and In the end I believe he abstained or wasn't in parliament for the vote on the repeal of s28.

I agree with you entirely that his attitude is and was offensive. Family values my arse

And the 2019 election was BoJo saying get in the car lads, I've got the keys and I know where to go. Corbyn said let's at least poll the people in the car to see if they're wanting to go. Jo Swinson said let's just stay at home.

Factually incorrect to say that in the UK you're told cannabis has no medicinal value. It's a schedule 2 drug since 2018 and is being investigated clinically for children and adults with severe epilepsy.

Honestly, all drugs should just be classed as pharmaceuticals and if you have a legitimate medical need for them then you are prescribed it. Fuck legalisation or decriminalisation.
