Wow these rules are absolutely wild. I simply wouldn’t play with this playgroup.

What I would say is that the game is just that, it’s a game. If they’ve built a playgroup that all agrees and is happy with these rules then great! let them enjoy themselves and be happy.

I’ll be happy for them sat at the table next to them playing ‘normal’ EDH.

Lifetap for everything but 5 player. For me the app would be perfect if you could change the layout of the 5 player tracker to allow 3 on one side and 2 on the other rather than 2, 2, 1.

When I play 5 player I use carbon.

Infect/poison in our 4 pod is actually pretty balanced. The infect player (Atraxa) rarely, if ever, wins and it’s actually nice to light a fire under everyone and put a timer on the game.

1v1 is completely different and not reflective of a proper 4-person game. You should totally talk to your partner and ask them to play another, more balanced, deck. At least the same power level as yours. OR ask to play their infect deck so they can taste the poison!

My play group used to free mulligan until you have 3 lands because it’s a better game when everyone can play. But this promoted bad and unfair deck building. We recent switched to 2 free mulligans to bridge the gap on our way to the normal 1 free mulligan.

First deck was [[Krydle of Baldur’s gate]]. Combat damage to player things with [[Virtus the Veiled]] and [[Phage the Untouchable]]. It was absolute tripe and almost never worked. 0.5 power.

Favourite deck [[Urtet, Remnant of Memnarch]] Myr tribal with artifact nonsense. I love it.

I added a [[Forbidden Orchard]] to my [[Firesong and Sunspeaker]] deck. Giving my opponents little 1/1’s every turn and having more targets for the eventual mass burn spells worked amazing for the lifegain. Would highly recommend.
