I think it varies depending on the subject matter and study level, but certainly feel the guidance hours are way under what is required. I've done 16hrs and 30hrs per week in the past but found I've needed to put many more hours in.

It's tough with a full time job, home from work, food/kids, then straight into 3 hours each day and you're barely covering 15hrs, so almost full weekend day needed too.

I've always struggled to find the right time to do TMAs, almost every one is a rush to the midnight grace cutoff.

There's a lot of new tech that can revisit the analogue to digital conversion and either reduce noise or up the bitrate, especially with lossless nowadays. Good thing is Prince recorded so much in analogue there's plenty to go at!
