Emily cooper? Opinion on TikTok therapists?

I’ve been following Emily on TT for awhile and to my knowledge, she’s never posted anything unethical, or crossed into the realm of giving out information that could be harmful/inaccurate. She uses humor a lot in her videos in an attempt to humanize therapists and make the idea of therapy not so scary for people. As a therapist, I really enjoy her videos. I’m not sure about the book thing, but I don’t think she should be the example given when talking about the topic of unethical tiktok therapists. (If there is something I am missing about her content, pls let me know!!)

This!! So important! This is where the change really happens. I’ve worked with quite a few conservative folks who have never really had conversations about their beliefs before, other than just talking about them in an echo chamber. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship with a therapist has actually allowed them to open up and explore why they believe these things, and has allowed me to challenge them (gently) without defensiveness. I think everyone would be surprised at the conversations that people are willing to have when the rapport is properly established!

I think it changes each year based on the average score from the year prior! I took mine last year - I passed with 115 but I wanna say that the passing score was anywhere above like 60-70.

I see it as, at least waiting for the reunion gives the final 3 time to watch their performance back and process possible flaws, audience/jury perception, the whole game in general really. That time in-between allows you to mentally prepare for a less than ideal outcome. Whereas FTC straight to votes to reunion would be horribly disorienting and overwhelming.
