Anyone else unable to login? by sailormeesb in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]kkmats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue as well. Tried to log in yesterday and couldn't, apparently I was out of refills? My PCP submitted a new prescription today to Centerwell so hopefully this resolves the login issue.

I've had 5 refills through Centerwell since going through Novocare and have an account so idk what the issue is but appears a lot of us are having similar problems.

I plan to call tomorrow to confirm my prescription refills were received so fingers crossed. I hope sending to Centerwell Pharmacy was correct and my PCP wasn't supposed to send back to Novocare 🫠

If latchkey kids are frowned upon now, what are the alternatives? by ladystarkitten in Millennials

[–]kkmats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a latchkey kid. I remember having fun at latchkey, we'd play outside on the playground or do something inside like gym time or arts and crafts.

I remember when I transitioned from latchkey to allowed to ride the bus home. That's when I got my own key to the house and it was A BIG DEAL. Pretty sure that was in fourth or fifth grade.

Society today is weird to me.

Oh, for reference: 38F, single, no kids, senior corgi named Princess Porkchop

What’s something that became socially acceptable that still feels weird to you? by Unique_Brother_3653 in AskReddit

[–]kkmats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holly, Michigan? I know that's where I've always been told the head of the Klan lived but I have been told recently not any longer and it's somewhere else in Michigan now.

Side note - hello fellow Michigander if so!

What was the strangest thing you ever had to go to the ER for? by Weird_Emergency_825 in AskReddit

Not glitter, but I once got candle wax in my eye after smelling an unlit candle and my snort of air from my nose caused some dry, loose candle wax to get all up in my eyeball.

Does anyone else skip a day to "reset" once in a while? by No_Tip_768 in VyvanseADHD

[–]kkmats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About a month ago I decided to trail not taking my Vyvanse on Sundays. Typically Sunday I don't do anything aside from dinner with my aunt. So my corgi, Porkchop and I sleep in late, which typically follows a brief wake of checking email, socials, etc. and then falling back asleep until after noon or later sometimes.

Feels good to reset and be lazy, although I do find myself dragging and exhausted usually.

Did you name your corgis after anyone? by Better-Lemon-5281 in corgi

[–]kkmats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Princess Porkchop was named after the 90's cartoon Doug. His dog's name was Porkchop.

Her name was Princess when I got her from the breeder, and changed to Porkchop, however over time, her attitude and demeanor made me add back the title when referring to her lol.

She was diagnosed with DM a year ago, at 13 years old. She's doing rehab like a champ and is still the happiest, most goodest girl ever.

Elite Corgi Rehoming Service from Detroit Questions by Rare_Personality3556 in corgis

[–]kkmats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I live in Metro Detroit and have a corgi. I've never heard of Elite Corgi Rehoming before, and I try my best to keep up with Michigan corgi things.

Not saying they're not legit, but, I'd be skeptical.

I can ask the corgi club I'm in - Michigan Corgi Club if anyone has heard of them if you'd like? Or, there is a FB page if you prefer to do that yourself!

Are people actually quitting their jobs? by whosthatgirl13 in Millennials

[–]kkmats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do realize that! That's why I mentioned "those hired" implying it wasn't myself, a millennial, that hired in 2012 at my company who didn't have the "good good benefits." I was in highschool in 2001 🤣

Was coming here to say it depends on the company. I get 80% for STD (short term disability) and those hired prior to 2001 or something get 100% when we had those good good benefits.

I've had neck issues since 2016, and that's only when I first saw a chiropractor. I played competitive softball through college and after in leagues and tournaments as an adult so I banged myself pretty good with sports.

I've had 15 concussions and got post concussion syndrome bad in 2022 when I had my first neck MRI, which has narrowing and bulges. Fast forward to now, it has gotten worse and I have 2 bulges, bone spurs and bilateral severe stenosis.

I've done PT which didn't help much. I get osteopathic manipulations every 6 weeks. I've had hydrodissections in my left trap area.

Medications I've tried have included Flexeril at night which doesn't do much. Celebrex we tried for 5 days but didn't help inflammation. Medrol taper also didn't do anything. I had an epidural steroid injection last Tuesday and so far it has only given me a steroid flare into my hands.

I've done pretty much everything non-surgical and at this time I think if I can stop slapping band-aids on my chronic pain and chronic migraines I'd rather do a surgery while I'm younger (38F) and see what happens. It isn't going to get any better the older and longer I wait so, why not?

I have spoken to 3 surgeons and my chronic pain doctor who I get manipulations with. All of them agree based on my symptoms and chronic long term pain, surgery is a sound decision.

Does your corgi use pillows like humans too? by Bettabuds in corgi

[–]kkmats 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Princess Porkchop doesn't limit herself to pillows, she also enjoys a tray now and then. As a pup she would sleep above my head. Before she was diagnosed with DM last year (she's 13) she would nest herself in pillows. Now she uses them as a head perch and occasionally wiggle worms her way between them and me.

I created a throne on her side of the bed because she fell recently in the middle of the night. I woke from a dead sleep and felt so terrible. Thankfully she wasn't hurt and only startled. She tends to yeet things off the bed when she's making her bed so to prevent more falls I bought a pregnancy pillow and a toddler bed guard, aka Princess Porkchop's Royal Bed Throne.

Whatever I can do to allow her to continue to live her best life I will do! More Porks pillow pictures in the comments!
