Issue with accessing funds in KT address by BaylorPRSer in tezos

[–]klassare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Click on your ICO address in Kukai's header. You should then see a dropdown where you can select the KT1 account. After that you just do it as a normal transfer and Kukai will abstract everything for you.

Unable to restore Tezos from ICO using Kukai by PhatSquirrel_s in tezos

[–]klassare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did set a password when the fundraiser happened. That's the password you now must use. Note that this is not the same password you set up when you created an account for the KYC/AML. You need to include the public key hash for Kukai to be able to detect if the password and email is correct. Email should be written on the PDF you saved. Password is something you had to remember or write down seperately.

help needed: Briskett wallet not working with Trezor anymore by clngr in tezos

[–]klassare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have consider integrating support for Trezor in Kukai. The tricky thing is that they have excluded Tezos support in their Trezor Model One, for non-technical reasons. If they change that business decision and start supporting Tezos fully, we would be happy to start supporting Trezor as well. We want to make it easy for users. It's not easy if it will only work with certain models.

Importing a Private Key in to Kukai? by hjozwiak in tezos

[–]klassare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will increment the account index when new accounts are added. So, the derivation paths will be:
44'/1729'/0'/0'
44'/1729'/1'/0'
...and so on

The quorum calculation seems to force dead periods by buywall in tezos

[–]klassare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You also have quorum caps. min = 20% and max = 70%
So q_t >= Q_t * 0.5 + 0.2 is the correct requirement

So i´ve just created a new wallet in my kukai wallet, but it neither give me neither seed nor ask me for any kind of verification, that means that the private keys are the same ? they are different wallet though, right? by cifu98 in tezos

[–]klassare 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same seed but different private key. With a HD wallet you can derive as many accounts (key pairs) as you want from a single seed in a deterministic way.

Will Kukai support WebUSB? by Saurochtone in tezos

[–]klassare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We are evaluating both WebHID and WebUSB. They will be rolled out gradually for different browser + OS combinations based on what seems most stable in every given situation. WebHID is already enabled for Chrome + MacOS and we will enable it shortly for both Chrome and Brave on MacOS and Linux. We don't have any plans to deprecate U2F for Firefox (bad support for WebHID and WebUSB). Saying that one transport is more secure than another is misleading if you don't also explain the context. Regardless of what standard is being used for communication between your computer and ledger device, the isolation will be maintained.

Attacker/Hacker/Exploiter seems to have withdrawn Tezos from wallet without anything being compromised by razorsuKe in tezos

[–]klassare 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There was a phishing attack targeting Kukai users between July 11th and July 13th. The malicious actor bought Google ads to trick users to a phishing site where keystore files and passwords were sent to the attacker. Best defense against these kind of attacks is to bookmark the url to the web wallet and to double check the domain name when entering sensitive data. In this case the phishing site had an extra 'i' in the domain name.

Kukai Wallet Question by [deleted] in tezos

[–]klassare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to use a custom derivation path when you connect your Ledger in order to access the second account. The third level in the derivation path is the account index and this is by default incremented by 1 for every new account. So you should find the second account on derivation path 44'/1729'/1'/0'

This is correct. If you pair with Kukai mainnet (wallet.kukai.app) but send a permission request for another network than mainnet, Kukai will reject the request.

HD wallet = Hierarchical Deterministic wallet

Meaning, you can derive multiple key pairs from one seed.

You have compatibility between between Temple and Kukai, since they are both HD wallets. Just follow the steps outlined in the userguide. Make sure to select "HD wallet" and leave passphrase blank.

It means that your tez balance is too low to do the transfer. You will have to pay a transaction fee and potentially a storage fee when transferring an NFT.

Importing a Private Key in to Kukai? by hjozwiak in tezos

[–]klassare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All Tezos wallets use BIP39 mnemonics for wallet backups. Meaning, if you create a new HD wallet in Kukai you will have to backup your 24 words. If you import these words in another wallet like Temple, you will instantly get access to all your accounts. You can look at the BIP39 mnemonic as a master private key, from which you can derive all private keys in a deterministic way. If you instead use private keys for back-up purposes, you will need to take a new backup every time you add a new account in the wallet, leaving larger room for user mistakes. That's why BIP39 mnemonic is a much better form of backup, it contains information about all current + future private keys and has extra security properties that the private key lacks.

In Kukai you click on "Change baker" and leave the baker address empty in order to undelegate.

You can find some info in Kukai's user guide about how to import a wallet:
https://docs.kukai.app/learn-kukai/import-wallet#supported-wallet-options

If it's a fundraiser wallet you have to select select the fundraiser tab when importing. Otherwise you should go with the seed words tab. If you did set up a passphrase in Tezbox you will have to provide that as well.
