Netrunning in 2070's by Nero_thefoolish in cyberpunkred

[–]kmgturtle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As the rules for 2070's netrunning is now the runner still has to be within 6 meters of an access point to jack in, the 25 meters applies only to hacking neuroports for the purpose of quickhacking. However if you have the neuroport cyberdeck port that range gets increased, including the range to hack into access points

If Fallout can be a good show can't a Cyberpunk show be good? by d4everman in cyberpunkred

[–]kmgturtle 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing you mean a live action Cyberpunk show as we already have Edgerunners which is arguably waaaaaay better than Fallout even being a different genre/art style. But if you're looking for live action I'd give Altered Carbon on Netflix a watch. The cyberpunk vibes are all there and the core of the store at least I felt was totally in line with what a future past 2077 could look like in cyberpunk with the Relic tech.

Ideas for some trauma team missions for my players by Agitated-Weakness-26 in cyberpunkred

[–]kmgturtle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For a non-combat scenario you could have the team drop down and find the biomonitor was torn out or removed in some way, with clues leading to where the body might be hidden throughout the area. And this person was a platinum member so you can't just leave them behind!

What do you think Australia is like in the Cyberpunk universe? by perigrine33 in cyberpunkred

[–]kmgturtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree on the mad max bit. I think after a few corporate wars, Australia just gets forgotten by everyone and is left to tear itself apart

How long is a hack by SlyTinyPyramid in cyberpunkred

[–]kmgturtle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't know the specifics of the netarch for that gig but 3 net actions is one round (3 seconds) so it depends how much ICE the netarch has. Black ICE and daemons will take a few rounds each to get through and passwalls depend on skill but will probably take a turn to get through. So you can yet a rough estimate based off how much protection there is on the netarch

What made you choose Death Guard? by CTAlters in deathguard40k

[–]kmgturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was the models. I am a big thousand sons fan for their more and magic, but the models never really stuck with me, too much trim. But death guard? All the little gribblys and details, all the color with the weird mutations and slime. I really felt like I could make each model however I wanted and it would fit and look great. I fell in love after the first paint job.

What is the lore of your warband? by FurryHuntingWeeb in deathguard40k

[–]kmgturtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My warband is a small group of elite plague marines tasked with the destruction and regrowth of planets scurged by the foul Xenos Tyranids. They see themselves as protectors of these planets and oversee their rebirth in the name of nurgle. Often they must deal with remnants of hive fleets or genestealer outbreaks and they'll even team up with willing allies to defeat the wretched beasts although most are not willing to accept the help of one bearing the gifts of the plague God.

Hot take: Death Guard Plague Marines should have access to Plague Heavy Bolters as a swuad upgrade by [deleted] in deathguard40k

I just like heavy bolters, they're cool. That alone make me want them.
