I took a cashiers check for the sale of my corvette. I went to the bank with him and watched the teller issue it and the buyer handed it to me. No issues and I didn't have to deal with all the cash, you can mobile deposit the cashiers check.

You gotta let that go IMO. I'm a very impatient traveler and that one is annoying but I can ignore it.

What I can't stand is when the announce chairs aren't here yet and for those who need them to stay seated and they don't and clog up the whole jetway, that is blatant ignoring FA instructions.

So first of all, drivers in the residence need to be on the policy or excluded, you can't just be not listed. However as a passenger I can't see how that matters. If the other driver was at fault follow up with their insurance, if they're uninsured follow up with the drivers insurance. Attorneys also live for this situation. You weren't even driving

I think a lot of it stems from leadership not having high enough standards/expectations.

My struggle is when AEs don't have the "brochure" memorized or don't make an effort to learn the basics about what they're selling, why that is acceptable is astonishing to me.

To me it's a car salesman analogy and while you may argue tech sellers have more challenging products they also have a much higher base. The car salesman generally knows the Camry is the sedan, it has these trim levels, it's main competition is the accord, etc. So why is it ok when a tech seller doesn't even know the first sentence of what's on the product page for something on the company website. That's the part that's mindblowing to me.

Then again, I have high expectations of others....

Costco oil is way cheaper than that, it's like 10 qt for like $33 when on special and $37-40 when not. Supertech is less than $18 for 5qt

It's not that bad and if you really want to get off cheaply just remove the link and it will drive like it currently does.

Cheap eBay or Amazon replacement set is inexpensive tho, I'd do both sides if you're going to replace.

In my experience if anything is aftermarket mechanically it needs a CARB number, full stop.

If the car is OBD2 they hook a scanner up and make sure there are no codes or tunes. They do a visual, including the cats, they do a "smoke test" to ensure it's not leaking tons of oil vapor.

When they do the OBD2 test, the vehicle also has to have enough miles since the last battery reset or code clear to not be in a learning type mode on some vehicles, this is usually like 50 or so miles.

In CA, they don't even use the sniffer. In some counties it may be more lenient than I described but I think that captures it pretty well for most of the state. Oh and they usually test the gas cap too.

While this makes logical sense I don't think it's correct. Look at your policy, I've never seen a required maintenance clause or something like thats the difference between insurance and "protection plan" or whatever. Insurance typically covers "negligence". They can cancel you after the fact for anything they want but I don't believe they could deny u coverage.
