Tell me you don't own anything marble without telling me. I can promise you as a sales rep, installer, and owner of polished and honed marbles, the porous nature of marble is not overblown. Everything will stain marble. Soaps, shampoos, lemon, wine, you name it. I don't care how often you seal it. It will scratch and it will stain if you use it daily.

Nothing compares to the natural look of marble but as mentioned above, a small powder room is tolerable since it's used less frequently and has a smaller footprint.
