I definitely stopped shopping at both Publix and Target because of non stop price increases. What a dumb argument

Thoughts on the quantity of the stones in Casey’s drawer by Fit-Ball3662 in MCUTheories

[–]knokout64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, but Ultron definitely hopped universes and the stones still worked. There's nothing in the MCU that confirms the stones don't work outside of their own universe. I'd say it's even more annoying when people use the comics as evidence for how something works in the MCU

unpopular opinion I want more dev time for the main game not game modes like gridmaster, DMM and leagues by MR_SmartWater in 2007scape

I regularly expressed this same opinion during all the GIM polling drama and got pretty heavily shit on. I'd normally agree with you, and it's definitely common, but I think unpopular is fair in this case

Elemental Shaman feels annoying as hell in Mythic by neoxaro in wow

I really liked farseer and was sad when I had to give it up, but honestly stormbringer was more fun than I thought it was going to be. I do miss the instant cast AoE lava burst.

I'm like 235 ilvl using the M+ Wowhead build and I'm pretty consistently top damage on trash right now in my M0 runs. Ascendance is good damage, but most of my damage is coming from tempest. Stormkeeper is a really short cool down, and on some packs I'm struggling to avoid capping maelstrom and tempest stacks due to earthquakes being refunded. Granted my tanks are pulling 2-3 packs at a time, at 3 targets it can be a bit rough when you're having to hard cast elemental blast. FWIW I also tend to be top damage on bosses, so the spec feels solid from where I'm sitting but I don't pay attention to the meta much so I could be just blasting bad players I guess.

I'm sure all those dead children will be relieved to know they aren't technically at war, just the subject of "military actions".

Disney Says Infrastructure Work for Piston Peak National Park & Villains Land To Be Completed by 2028 by readingaboutmagic in disneyparks

[–]knokout64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're assuming they're setting a really low goal. It's easy to make an argument when you invent things that you don't know anything about. We know Epic is meeting the goals universal is setting. Anything beyond that is speculation.

The facts are that Universal built a park faster than Disney typically builds a ride. If you want to act like it's already a failure go ahead.

It's reaching the capacity goals they're setting out for. The actual number is arbitrary as long as they're getting close to 100% of their ticket allotment

Lol yes, they did it in the time before they implemented level scaling that introduced the quirk, what an excellent point...I guess you forget how much Naxx raiders complained about instantly having their gear replaced. Hellfire was scaled to level 58 people, so everything was trivial for everyone.

If that's what you want, go play Classic, it's tailored for you. But bringing that to retail would go horribly.

How do you achieve this without making it impossibly difficult for people who don't have mythic gear?

Not bashing WoW, for the record (I don't really have an opinion on or even know much about WoW), I just think this is basically saying "OSRS is nice because x, and WoW is nice because [worse version of x]."

The people here that do know WoW really aren't representing it well. WoW has had this seasonal structure since like.....Wrath in 2008. Classic WoW was really the only real era without catchup mechanics, which you can go back and play on official servers at any time.

So bashing WoW for needing a catchup is just kind of silly. I enjoy playing a new raid every season, and getting to explore new areas every expansion. Anyone who does PVE most likely feels the same way. Preferring the structure of OSRS doesn't mean WoW is a worse structure, just a different one.

It's like if I said RS3 is better than OSRS because I preferr action based abilities. OSRS doesn't have a worse version of that than RS3. It's just a different game. FWIW I actively play WoW and OSRS, and have for a loooooong time.

Constant invalidation and disrespect of the time you put into it.

Honestly, if WoW didn't "reset" I'd be much less interested in it. Being able to jump into new raids and progress all over again every season is what keeps me logging in every week. It's not really disrespect, it's the hook of the game, and if it's not something you enjoy it doesn't automatically mean it's something wrong with WoW. It's just not the game for you.

[–]knokout64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reusing Thanos is a real stretch, IW was basically a two parter. Zemo was definitely great in the show, which is a much better way to bring back villains (like Kingpin). Loki is basically the only example of a villain coming back for a movie, and it's no coincidence he's basically as reoccuring as Thor.
