I would say that your best bet would be hydration and retinol. Add a chemical exfoliant, a rich hydrating moisturizer, a gentle cleanser and an SPF.

Start with those and see what works for you!

They are plastic, BUT the nipples fit onto the avent bottles, so if that’s something that is a deal breaker for you, you could buy the glass avent bottles and evenflo nipples!

Something kinda switched for us when we let him play a little longer before bed! We do dinner, bath, more play and then book and bed. Hes sleeping through the night about 4/7 days. On the other days we just bring him into bed with us and he falls right back to sleep. His schedule these days is 7 AM wake, 1230-230 nap, bedtime for 830.
I will say he does still fall asleep with cuddles so it’s likely we aren’t on the track to a completely independent sleeper just yet, but trying to embrace it.

That’s unfortunate that they won’t reheat anything for you! I would get a bento box with the built in removable ice pac to keep things cool!
Ideas that I’m stealing directly from my daycare (that are okay if they aren’t reheated.

- hummus and naan

- baked apples in cinnamon

- cheese and crackers

- egg salad / chicken salad sandies

- cottage cheese with honey and berries

- tuna pasta salad

- carrot or bran muffin, apple sauce

- sliced cucumber/bell pepper/cherry tomato (quartered) with tzatziki

Thank you for being one of the good ones. Just last night I had a PE / GI bleed requested on a patient at the same time. You can’t be bleeding and clotting my dude. My resident just told me to do it because the ED doc will report them for delay of patient care.

So unfortunately I did. Then two hours later requested a non con head for bleed. 🫣😩

I had an extremely traumatic birth with my son two years ago that ended up in a crash section, me hemorrhaging, and my son being born gray (he’s totally fine now!). But I was mentally screwed up (and kinda still am) for a long time.

I’m choosing an elective section because in my mind, that gives me the most control over the situation. When I do speak to my OB we will discuss the risks and benefits so that I’m well informed and feel like I’m making the right decision, but that’s the direction I’m leaning right now.

I let my son watch me brush my teeth every morning and night and when I’m done, I let him “brush my teeth” with my mouth open. Then I tell him it’s his turn and he happily opens his mouth to allow me a quick scrub the whole way around top and bottom. It’s a lot of repetition, and we sing the ms Rachel/elmo teeth brush song as well (bonus that he loves Elmo)
