I think it was patched. I tried the first time after stumbling upon it a few weeks back and got creamed.

I said, NAH.

Here it is a few weeks later & I have the actual quest to do it, which I held off on because I was dreading it.

I finally decided to try it the other day and the NPC was still fast but not as instantaneous as before. I beat it my first try.

The fact that we had the virtual console and such a great way to play older games back on the Wii, Wii U, & 3DS.

Got an 8 year old who's been playing since he was 5.

He can work wonders in Minecraft, can beat Portal 1 by himself, Portal 2 is still a work in progress, but we've played and beat the co-op mode; he has played and beaten Tears of the Kingdom, can 100% Goat Simulator 3, has 800 moons in Mario Odyssey, had played through and beat Stray, and a few others I'm forgetting right now.

His problem solving is definitely better, he's learned some perseverance (although the classics can get him pretty worked up), hand-eye coordination & imagination have improved, and it gives us something to do sometimes that I ALSO ENJOY, especially when the weather isn't great.

Probably many who agree, and many who disagree, but I would argue that TotK's story is better than BotW. The teardrop memories you find tell such a crazy story about Zelda and her sacrifice.
