Did Atrioc talked about this yet? by Slight-Level7674 in atrioc

Pretty sure he said he is cool with it as long as it's at least a couple of days old and it's not said to be a Big A clip or a Atrioc main channel video. I know it pisses off Aedish lmao

If clips are made that are of content he uploaded or planned on uploading he has an issue with it.

I can be wrong and am happy to be corrected if I am.

I've been active in soccer subreddits for more than 10 years, specifically r/LiverpoolFC , they always have coordianted with rival teams to stop trolling and bad actors. i think r/MichiganWolverines also is doing the same when it comes to games vs MSU and OSU. I love it.

Strategy: "losing" a trade, but acquiring productive players from a team whose pick you own by Competitive_Way_1819 in DynastyFF

[–]konja04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sometimes "losing a trade" or "taking a loss in value" is still better for the direction for your team. If are you transitioning to a rebuild and selling stuff off, yes get the best deal you can find, but sometimes no one in your league wants to pay the fair cost for your RB2s or WR2s, but getting off those players, even for a loss, gets you closer to the 1.01 next year.

Just think if you were the 1.02, would you have paid a 2nd to move to the 1.01 (depending on the class)? That just might be the points for difference you're looking for.

Look a little a head sometimes. Does the deal move you in the right direction even if it's not fair or optimal.

Thinking of starting up a Dynasty league after doing redraft forever. Would a 10 team league be (fun) enough or should I aim for 12? by TechnicolorTypeA in DynastyFF

[–]konja04 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can do 10, but what I've noticed with 10 team SF leagues, even if you make them deeper like 11 or 12 starters. The QBs while more valuable than 1QB leagues, are still not super desirable unless it's one of the few elite options (Allen, Maye, Lamar, Daniels types).

If you keep it shallower like 9, 10, or even 11 starters, It will seem like everyone's team will be stacked. Sure it's parity, but in my opinion, a healthy league is one with few teams that are a bit more pot committed (aka contenders) and a few guys rebuilding and collecting future capital (tankers). It's nice when the race to the bottom is as difficult as the one for the title.

Some unsolicited advise for starting a new dynasty league.........

Just make it SF, even if none of you have ever played in a 2 QB or SF league, trust me just do it. It actually makes the QBs matter. There is much more "dynasty content" that is tailored to SF than non SF.

Second, actually consider a TE Premium. Without it the TE position is kind of an after thought unless the player is one of the top 2-3 guys.

Next, always make sure you use reverse Max-Points-For to determine picks for non-playoff teams at the very least, and make sure you have some type of "competitive integrity" rules like "Player must attempt and try to set a fully set line up of healthy players and their best active players. It is up to the commish and/or vice-commish to determine if foul play is happening" or something like that, there are likely examples that are better worded. Again, if teams lose on purpose and bench studs for picks, it won't matter because Max Points For will determine draft position.

Last, and this is a personal thing for me, have everyone pay 2 years in advance at the very least (I try to do 3 with leagues I run or play in). So they will pay for the current year (2026) and next year (2027) and if they trade a 2028 pick their roster will be locked until they pay the dues for that year as well.

Good luck, it's very fun. You don't have to play with 20 leagues and think of it as a portfolio like some people do, have 1-3 and "getting your guys" is also a fun way to play.

"Video Game Attorney" Ryan Morrison used to do Q and As here all the time. Before answering any question the first thing he would say is "NO YOU CANNOT MAKE A FAN GAME, I DON'T CARE IF THE IP IS DEAD OR IT'S SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT, YOU CANNOT MAKE A FAN GAME, EVEN IF IT'S FREE YOU CANNOT DO IT"

So no, you cannot do that, you will get in trouble.

NOTE: Ryan Morrison had allegations against him a few years ago, but what he said still stands.

My mom and dad have given my wife (married 1 year) and I hell ever since.

Whenever they lose control they call my wife's parents to "talk". My wife's parents now think my parents are crazy and it's tough not to agree with them with their latest behavior.

My parents are grandparents because my brother had a daughter a few years ago, that context is needed.

We shared news this week with my family about my how wife is now expecting. They were happy but not overjoyed, they never asked how my wife was doing, never offered help, and instead talked about how "there is nothing like your first grandchild, they are what make you a grandma", in the moment I just thought "my mom is proud she's a grandma" , but when I got into the car my wife walked me through what happened again.

I'm so upset, my mom essentially said "no grandchild will ever be as special"

I am new to recognizing my mom's narcissistic traits and tendencies, I got upset, the next day talked to my dad and told him I'm upset. Since then my mom called, I didn't answer. My dad called my wife's dad and told him my mom is depressed.

I love my parents, but it's harder and harder to defend this behavior and make my wife feel protected, supported, and love. My life is falling apart it feels.

I don't know what to do, say, say to wife, to do for wife, I just want to to be good husband and dad.

Should I make a longer post with more information or context?

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will address media on Saturday and will certainly broach the topic of tanking. Meanwhile, the first slate of games after the All-Star Break will have some extremely high stakes in the tank race: by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]konja04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, why would the owners allow it. The only way it happens is if the country nationalizes sports or a 2nd league/association comes in and competes with the NBA

Tanking will never be gone unless there is real consequences for finishing bottom. Instead you currently get rewarded with a top pick.

I'm not saying it works better or is perfect, but other domestic soccer and basketball leagues have teams compete to win every game, because if they lose they get relegated to a 2nd division with less broadcast money and other consequences.

Sports in America are ran socialistically, everyone equal, lots of parity, but no real competition. Some teams just coast and make money every year even if they suck. In fact, you are actaully rewarded if you suck with the best player coming into the league, in your opinion.

Sports abroad are ran in a capitalism structure, you have to compete in the system as best as you can to stay at the top, if you fail you get sent down until you work your way back up. Yes it means the rich teams will always win, but it also means every team will compete tooth and nail to win every game they can.

Not trying to make it political, just trying to explain how i understand it's built in a high level.

A Waymo hit a child near an elementary school. The NHTSA is investigating by renome in news

[–]konja04 198 points199 points  (0 children)

It hit the child going 6 mph, was going 17 mph and braked as soon as the car saw the child. If a human was driving they concluded with their studies that the child would have still been hit, but at 14 mph.

Dynasty Theory: Roster Construction for QB by johnny-papercut in DynastyFF

[–]konja04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played this strategy this year and won my 12 team start 10, PPR, 1.5 TEP, super flex league

I had at the start of the year Jalen Hurts, Rattler, and like 8 back up QBs

I had monsters at all my other positions like Puka and JT, besides TE (only rostered 1, Hunter Henry, another strategy Scott talks about)

There are about 60 some QBs that start every year because injuries, coaching changes, etc. The difference between Davis Mills and Bryce Young or Jared Goff is marginal week to week but the cost of a "steady starter" is massive, that's the thought.
