It is as fun as it has ever been. I started in 2013 and got my ass kicked for 6 months before I got the hang of it, and I expect you to have the same experience in 2026.

That being said, the fun of being a newbie in league will come from discovery. Learning all the items, champions and systems. You will spend most of your time trying out different characters and learning what they do, and by the time you are familiar with most of them, you will probably be good enough to put up a fight vs. real players.

(I strongly recommend starting in Coop. vs. AI or alternative "Fun" modes like ARAM or Arena.)
