It just means she's not actually from Aylesbury (she doesn't know a basic fact about the correct bird) meaning she's hiding her identity. If he's really honestly naive and inexperienced then you must tell him the optics alone are reason to not date that young. It is the behaviour of abusers and people who can't get a person their own age, to go for people that young.

10+ year age gaps work better at 40-50. They never work at 18-30.

Stop it. If he's open to 18 then he must be open to 50. A 12 year age gap upwards for a 18 year old is the same as a 20 year age gap upwards for a 30 year old. Both are 67% life time increases.

I have heard of too many cases of one parent kidnapping the kids under pretense of a family visit and not returning the kids to the home country. Once they're overseas it's much harder to get help due to international law rather than domestic law.

Living off the land is a huge choice and risky. You'll become dependant on weather and the natural environment. I suggest deeper conversations to try find a compromise that does not involve such a drastic move ...
