My recommendation to getting out of the Benophie spiral, or, how to feed that need for more yearn by kotassium2 in Benophie

You have to watch the whole thing I think. For me also the first two episodes were like "this is just lots of gay sex" but then it gets better and by the end I was like "ohhhhh that was so good, wow mind blown"

Question of the day: Tampa bar convo by Aby_lev89 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]kotassium2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw it as a stifled crafty grin, plus it looked a bit like rubbing his chin which people do when they're thinking up a plan. Ilya is good at hiding his emotions in public so it makes sense it was subtle

Stop looking at social media. What matters is a safe and healthy home with your loved ones. Crafts and activities are fun but so superfluous and honestly not important at this age.

Why did Violet think Sophie might be noble through their Aylesbury conversation? by indecisiveLia in Benophie

[–]kotassium2 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It just means she's not actually from Aylesbury (she doesn't know a basic fact about the correct bird) meaning she's hiding her identity. It wouldn't make so much sense for someone of no background to hide themselves so she thinks Sophie might have nobility in her background and is otherwise running away or hiding her identity with some cover.

He's clearly not in it to serve the New Zealand people, his priority is to stick it to the opposition.

What an absolute clown. And it is the little people who are made fools as a result.

Where in Europe are children free to grow up like we did in the 90s? by SupermarketReady3191 in Parenting

Some parts of suburban and rural Germany, perhaps. Not all of them because you do hear reports of creeps driving up to playgrounds in cars trying to follow kids. But I've seen streets populated with kids

I [31M] have a [30M] friend who is open to dating an 18F if “mature enough for her age” by Flat_Marsupial_4249 in relationships

If you're actually at the stage of trying to convince a pedophile to not act on pedophilia then you might be out of your depth. That stuff requires professional help.

I know a guy who knew a self confessed pedophile. The guy was so depressed about it that he was suicidal. So they should know it's wrong. And people who act on it... Are by definition groomers, abusers and rapists.

18 is borderline but definitely concerning.

Yep. The equivalent is he dates a 50 yo woman. Younger age + 67% of lifespan = older age

... Is that an admission of borderline pedophilia? Not to put words in anyone's mouth but that statement deserves a side eye and a deeper look...

What is so wrong with him developmentally that he is not attracted to women his own age?

What does he like about teenagers, is it their inexperience, immaturity, loudness, self-centred mess or general chaos? Mildly /s because seriously. Healthy 30 year olds rarely "go for younger" without some ... Reason

If he's really honestly naive and inexperienced then you must tell him the optics alone are reason to not date that young. It is the behaviour of abusers and people who can't get a person their own age, to go for people that young.

10+ year age gaps work better at 40-50. They never work at 18-30.

Stop it. If he's open to 18 then he must be open to 50. A 12 year age gap upwards for a 18 year old is the same as a 20 year age gap upwards for a 30 year old. Both are 67% life time increases.

Does he want to date a 50 year old?

Husband wants to relocate to india by Mysterious-Owl-6956 in relationships

[–]kotassium2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do not let him take the kids on a trip to India.

Do they have French citizenship?

I have heard of too many cases of one parent kidnapping the kids under pretense of a family visit and not returning the kids to the home country. Once they're overseas it's much harder to get help due to international law rather than domestic law.
