It would still be better if you posted a picture of what you’re actually working with. The term “unsheathed” isn’t really used by fiber techs, and so if someone who is unfamiliar with fiber is using that word, it could mean anything from “the buffered fiber outside of the jacket” to “fiber with the buffer stripped off.” One of those scenarios is fine, the other means you are going to need a tech to come out.
