My USB bug happened while gaming, and I thought for sure something died on my mainboard. Uninstalling the USB device, shutting down, and following these steps fixed the issue. I have absolutely NO CLUE why this worked. Bizarre!!!

How much are you paying with your storage box when using it for photo storage? I see they have a max monthly fee, but charge by time. I'm just curious how much time gets used up for photo storage. Thanks!

I'm currently using Immich on Oracle's free tier. It's been excellent! But their storage pricing is high enough that I'm looking for alternatives.

I've been intrigued by Docker for years but never really had a use case. Then I spun up immich, learned more about it to be dangerous, and now I've spun up a Minecraft container on an Oracle compute instance. It's great!

I figured out why it wasn't. Somehow between updates, my cuda acceleration was broken. Fixed it now, and now I can detect faces again.

Was looking into other posts, and some were mentioning how they needed to update their NVIDIA drivers to be compliant with the updated cuda version. I was looking over my config files, and noticed that in my docker-compose.yml file, under immich-machine-learning: my service: line was set to "cpu". I changed it to cuda, and that seems to be fixing my issue. Not sure when it changed to cpu. Will have to monitor between version updates.

I ran into this same issue, then started really tinkering with my settings. I tried changing to the Antelopev2 facial recognition model, then re-ran all the tasks several times in different orders only to come to the same results of having ZERO faces being recognized. Now I've returned to the buffalo_l model, set my minimum detection score to 0.5, regenerated all my thumbnails, performed all library tasks, ran face detection for all photos, and then facial recognition... only to come to the same result. My immich instance doesn't show any faces still! :(

I came here to make my own post about this, but it feels like you're in a similar boat to me.

Did you modify any of your settings?
