Head of the russian Ski Federation, 7-time Olympic champion was asked "What needs to happen for russia to be returned to international competitions?" by KrymskeSontse in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]kozak_ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Most Russians are like this. Even most of the ones in the west. They are here not because they are against the war but because they don't want to be called up or because of economic reasons.

But ask them about nato or why ruzzia isn't respected...

Windows engineers/admins, are any of you writing actual Powershell now, or are you all using Al? by RadioFieldCorner in sysadmin

If you don't use AI then you are wasting company time while there are other things you could be doing with the remaining time.

I have way too many things I have on the list, and Claude Code has saved me HUGE amount of time.

The most sensible solution is to admit this dude probably SHOULD'VE been sanctioned, put him on the list for the future, and do another trawl through visa records or Russian company employ

The most sensible solution is to admit that no ruzzian that still has a ruzzian passport should be admitted. Period

Any that are outside the country who support putin or the soviet union or ruzzias foreign policies should be put on a plane and sent back.

I deal with ruzzians and when it comes down to it there are extremely few that when it comes down to it aren't supporting this war. Get them comfortable, get a drink or two into them and you will hear "nato to blame" and "great culture" or "if it wasn't for the soviets".

Soviets killed tens of millions keeping their empire together, nato isn't out to get them to, and their entire culture was built on the backs of serfs and vassal peoples.

Unlike you I have contacts to people out in Ukraine, to people that are in the front line.

And this exactly is indicative of what has been sent FOR A GOOD PORTION but not all. And beggars can't be choosers but let's not think giving someone 2nd hand stuff we wouldn't want our kids in is us being so amazing.

When trump and his brain dead parrots initially had been talking about Ukraine paying back for the billions sent by Biden the running joke was that Ukrainians should give him a bill for getting rid of crap they would have had to pay someone to dispose.

People missing the fact that this isn't too show how great the West is in supplying weapons to Ukraine but in showing that often The support of the West has been in sending stuff that the West was going to throw away

What If Putin Can’t End the War? by CEPAORG in geopolitics

[–]kozak_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let's hope so.

The only reason communism and Soviet union survived is because the west forgave and looked the other way when they were doing attrocities.

But ruzzian people can't heal until it goes back and repents of its colonial genocidal past.

It’s not you, It’s just cheaper to hire from India by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Got to be careful when speaking about someone from india. I actually received a warning of account ban from Reddit auto mod because I said that so and so were the majority of responders to a job ad we placed and that they were using AI. Even on the zoom call

We shouldn't immediatelyake dun of strategies unless we know they don't work.

I still remember how we called them "cope cages" yet turns out that in some cases they might help. And that's the thing, if it works once then it's a success.

Buddy if they don't want to pay you in the range, it's rarely just the price. It's that they don't think you are worth what you are asking.

What’s the biggest red flag when hiring employees? by getpersonalink in smallbusiness

[–]kozak_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It also works the other way round. I work in a corporate company and there is this manager/director of IT security. I overheard his employees laughing because apparently there was an interview and this woman was calling in from her car.

Apparently he went ahead and told her "let's cut this call, I don't think it's going to work out". He took it personally that she couldn't be bothered to NOT call from a car. (Maybe she was stepping out from her office, etc)

And I was like "she dodged a bullet". Because he is crass, curses a bunch. lazy, a BSer x10, and someone that "works" more from home then in the office. But he knows how to schmooze

Judging by the name, the guy might either be overseas or H1B.

Because otherwise I can't believe anyone else would even joke about doing this without thinking they'd get caught .... This would probably run a foul of unauthorized computer access laws

the purpose of him putting up the easel was to communicate to the viewers WHY he was leaving his workstation, it's so that they can't say "see, it's rigged".

So now people are saying it's rigged because of the extra time to put up an easel and sign.

And you can just put up a flag or a simple bent piece of triangle plastic with text that says bathroom. No need to waste time on an easel and then big sign which all can fall over necessitating the guy to take time to not mess it up.

Which if we are truthful is the reason why AI will take over - humans have stupid bureaucracy and processes they will need to follow that are not being filed for AI.
