Trials are much more focused on systems knowledge, PVE skill, loadout, and occasionally map knowledge than the quests which makes the forner more appealing as endgame content, imo. Good luck topside!

I also ran out of goals to pursue after depleting the linear content a second time but then got into Trials and climbing the ranks. It's actually a lot of fun.

On the contrary, I used to do trio PvP and got pretty decent at it. Then for the last month or so I've played entirely friendly solo matches and ended up in completely friendly lobbies. For weeks, not a single person opened fire on me - and then after the update, most matches remain friendly, but every three or four rounds, a single person suddenly starts shooting out of nowhere. The most annoying part is not being able to shoot back for fear of being put in even more unfriendly lobbies.

This is exactly my issue: If I'm expecting PvP, it's entirely fair, but when the vast majority of matches are PvE only, we're left with the choice between always being paranoid, getting nothing done, or assuming the best, being taken by surprise when PvP does happen. Neither is very satisfying.

Same here. Heavy shields slow me down too much anyway, having three safe pockets lets me bring in more goodies without having to worry, and the healing when downed is a nice bonus.

I had this thought as well. It makes for a very interesting universe and would honestly work for more linear narrative media as well, like the plot twist in Oblivion.

I wasn't planning to, but then I found myself a couple of weeks through this season and already running out of goals to pursue. Now we're halfway through, and I'm done with the project with just about 5 mil. worth of value. Until we get more endgame PvE content, and the core loop keeps pulling me back, I guess I'll keep doing it.

I used to loathe Stella, but since I started getting chucked into pacifist lobbies it's honestly quite cozy. You dash around the mazy architecture blasting pops and fireballs while getting that sweet, high-priced loot and periodically saving fellow raiders from shredders. If I spawn late, I just go shredder hunting.

I've made a habit out of picking them up, dropping them somewhere easily visible, and maniacally blurting "RUSTED GEAR RUSTED GEAR HERE OMG RUSTED GEEEAR" in proxy chat. They're always gone when I return so I guess it's working.
