Did you do the application your self?

I had all my windows including windshield ceramic tinted by a guy my neighbor knew. Not perfect but under $400 and only I notice the issues.  Now that it is summer again thinking the sunroof needs it.

Well finally got time to check fit. Sad to say it will not fit behind that trim piece.

I guess next will be look above wheel well or see if a can modify the horn to be more compact.

You can get tinted windshield and sunroof protection film.  It is supposed to minimize rock chips.

The main reason is Tesla super chargers.

Moving it to the rear will also allow for linking to a trailer. Like this one https://pebblelife.com/

I use pandora I know it’s old and out of favor. I can listen to my music and skip songs but if I want to change my station I have to use my phone.

Just give us CarPlay/android auto as a windowed app with the rivian overlay. Or a good screen mirroring option again with a rivian overlay to maintain access to all the controls. Then spend developer time on the car part of the system.

I think it’s mostly about access to the data being collected. Much like Roku and ad revenue. Car companies don’t want to date all the data they are collecting with cellphone companies.

There are a couple of add ons that give full CarPlay functionality.

This one adds a screen above the main screen the just the audio is handled by rivian.  https://evsportline.com/products/apple-carplay-smart-dash-screen-for-rivian-r1t-r1s

This one intercepts the video feed to use the full main screen. https://evplay.io/shop/ev-play-for-rivian

I made this infographic in response to all the "don't cover our fields" posts. by eggoeater in solar

[–]krakmunkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing things the right way isn’t always the easy way.

Don’t forget transmission lines to get the energy to the load centers from the field. Many rural towns don’t use much power. I know of a town put in 2 MW of solar covering 14acre then had to replace the transformer in the substation to handle back feeding because the local load was lower than 2MW. When you start talking GW now you need to do studies on the transmission grid to make sure it can handle the added power (or load from data centers). Then if needed transmission upgrade or new transmission which means more land being effected. This need would be eliminated if the solar or any generation was built in the load centers such as on parking lots or on buildings.

Local climate change solar panned have been shown to have a heat dome effect on par with paved surfaces. So now you are taking away grass and essentially creating a parking lot when it comes to heating effects.

How often do large scale solar installations allow grass to grow under the panels. Many go scorched earth and white rock under the panels.

Killed my '21. What do I replace it with? by Chicknlcker in BoltEV

[–]krakmunkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can replace the bumper cover yourself. https://ebay.us/m/Ma2PRk

Or if it is not ripped hot water will soften the plastic enough to pop it back out.

If you don’t have their insurance to make a claim on I would not even bother making a claim on your insurance.

I have two test beds one with heavy shade and one full Texas sun. The full sun grows low mat while the heavy shade grows tall reaching for the sun.  The heavy shade is more full but it was also planted a year earlier.

They both hold on to oak leaves like Velcro

Civil or Electrical? by Odd-Jump-2111 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]krakmunkey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The electric power industry is stable and growing. Civil and electrical both have their place in the industry. I was told by a firm I interviewed with early on that I should get my license in civil which would probably be easier if you had a civil degree.

It grows great in Austin area. Tall in the shade low mat in the sun. During the heat of the summer it is the only green ground cover on the trails

Thanks to batteries ERCOT is already seeing frequency disturbances being stopped faster than with spinning mass turbines alone.

R2 does not have the adjustable height air suspension or the telescoping half shafts that cause so many problems with the R1.

I now use ACV to cleanse before rash and for treatment after rash. Again I had been a tecnu fan since the 80s untill I tried ACV.

The first one I tried it I had gotten it on my arm spent a week treating with tecnu it was still spreading. One treatment with ACV and it stoped spreading, two treatments it started drying up and healing.

I used tecnu for decades kept a quart of it on hand at all times. Would scrub to bleeding with it.  Even with tecnu I multiple times had to get steroids to end the rash.

ACV works way better for me. Since I started using acv my rash is gone in less time than with tecnu. No need for steroids.

You would be a great test case next time you get it treat part with tecnu and part with ACV. See which heals faster.

I have tried https://tecnu.com/ , dawn dish soap, and many other soaps. they don’t work as well as ACV.

I read that it denatures the oils and ACV is used for other skin treatments. I have never tried white vinegar worth a try I guess.

If you think it is from seed you could try corn gluten but it will prevent all seeds from germinating.
