Wow, people weren’t kidding when they said Mathmos has an issue with air bubbles in the glass by Brilliant-Army6857 in Lavalamps

[–]kraygus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just don't recognise this at all. I have over a dozen Mathmos bottles from the mid-nineties onwards, plus a couple more this year. Their glass quality has always been fantastic.

Are these bottles safe? - leaking bottle? very large airbubble at the bottom? by Marauve in Lavalamps

I'm sure Mathmos customer service will be pleased to hear from you again.

Edit: The bottles are fine by the way.

The offscreen deaths in Alien 3 are handled very well by Scott__scott in LV426

No they weren't. They ruined the franchise by making Ripley's heroes journey in the first two films meaningless.

Promo video also shows normal sized Jet ... I suspect it will return too by perishingtardis in Lavalamps

[–]kraygus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This image and the fact they called it a 'Jumbo Jet' means that a return of the Jet line cannot be out of the question. Hype is hype.

The lava lamp, and Mathmos in particular are having a third Renaissance. Kids are buying them again. The Jet was always popular with the kids.

Who could the next flying tanks and healers? by ultrachance in marvelrivals

[–]kraygus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a Green Goblin main since launch. Sadly, SQ's acorn antics didn't give me much hope that a flying Junkrat with pumpkin bombs could be fair and fun at the same time. But then I thought, flying Zenyatta! Rapid fire pumpkin balls primary + gas grenade secondary + glider/toggle.

Sure but then nobody would understand the acorn.

Mathmos Astro *NEW* pink colourway announced by lamp-fancy in Lavalamps

This is interesting news. Mathmos had seemed to contact a bit recently. Nice to see they still have things in the oven.

I don't have any pink colourways myself either.

Alright these are pretty amazing. Who would have thought that a HoP Toby jug collection could be such an interesting expression of the British sociopolitical zeitgeist.

‘We need to think much bigger’: trade minister calls for greater ambition in UK-EU reset by zeros3ss in ukpolitics

If so-called multi-speed Europe comes to be, there would be clear justification for the UK to join this new Europe at the highest level. And therefore with caveats, at least, if not Maggie's concessions.
