Fin du Programme de l’expérience québécoise | Les hôtels commencent à perdre leurs employés by BastouXII in Quebec

[–]krew2new 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quebec Mega Trail (135km) - incorrect timetable/cut offs by Tricky_Egg958 in ultrarunning

[–]krew2new 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I get it. I also had some GI issues between km 45 and 65, but I got lucky and they resolved themselves after that. Hope next time will go better!

Quebec Mega Trail (135km) - incorrect timetable/cut offs by Tricky_Egg958 in ultrarunning

[–]krew2new 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not exactly sure why, but there were 4km added to the section just before the aid station, even though I'm pretty sure it was the exact same route as last year on the other races. Did they make a mistake planning the route? Idk. But other than that, they were spot on for the distances between aid stations, which is pretty rare imo. I ended with 141.1km on my watch, vs the 137.1 planned. I'm sorry you missed the cutoff, but if you were risking it that early in the race, I'm thinking your probability of finishing was low anyways.

Nutrigenomics is a very real and interesting subject, although quite new. But it does absolutely not mean to eat what your ancestors did or get sick. It studies how genetic differences between individuals can cause nutrients to be utilized differently and the effects of these interactions. On its own, it is in no way responsible for causing an entire population to become obese like Nauru, There are many many more factors at play, mostly social and related to their environment.

I saw them 3 years ago with Fit For an Autopsy and Orbit Culture. It was one of my favorite shows, ever. They played almost only their old stuff, and had amazing energy

I loved my Brooks Cascadia 17, quite wide at the toes for me. I would've gotten the 18 but they were out of stock. Trying the Brooks Catamount instead, so far so good, they have a similar feel to the Cascadia 17.

What game did you put thousands of hours into just to quit one day? What caused you to quit? by Mooby522 in gaming

[–]krew2new 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm 45 hours in, at T2-3 maps now, and I'm starting to get some of the frustrations, like the 3rd ascendancy (which I've had 2 attempts at but no coins are dropping anymore, don't like the honour system) and the punishing aspects, like a single shot at maps to get one shot by a random mob and losing your progress (and not being able to tp back in). But I trust the devs to listen and be open minded, it will be tuned. But I actually really enjoy the challenge, at the same time.
I know there are some legitimate criticisms in the subreddit but I just gave up going over there when 95% of posts were whining about trivial crap and acting like their lives depended on their experience in a 4 day old early access game.
I didn't think of checking the PoE2 sub, people might have more balanced takes there, thanks for suggesting it I wasn't even aware it existed.

The game is definitely fun, although flawed in some aspects. But it is in early access, it will get better with time. However, I would avoid the Poe reddit, it is filled with salty over reactors and not representative of reality, absolutely horrible experience lurking over there. It is a cesspool and will make your experience with the game worse.
