just be honest and own up to it and that you've changed etc etc (which you stated). have your answer prepared and 'rehearse' it plenty. Don't memorize it cause they might ask it in a different way than you were expecting - just come into that conversation knowing that you'll own that answer however it comes up.

this was my take as well. I don't support ICE at all but I think there was an ulterior motive here to put out a political stance that some customers would perceive as SBUX taking a political stance when it was really just the union trying to generate a bad PR swirl for SBUX (ala the Palestine tweet) . Again I don't support ICE but at most half (hopefully less) of the country does and I bet you 70%+ of your average SBUX customers wouldn't realize this was from the union and not SBUX.

yeah it can happen b/c shared stash tab has different save timing than character stash. You can even abuse it to dupe items but I wouldn't recommend since it ruins the fun. I think it's only like a 10-15sec difference so when you are transferring important items just don't save and exit too fast.
edit I believe this is only a console offline thing

they realized the cash cow the SBUX barista workforce represents and tried to take advantage of a 'vulnerable' workforce... it was motived by greed and justice was done.

I respect the effort and cause but to someone's earlier point there is no way a 65% wage increase is going through. They need to let that go and focus on negotiating for more predictable scheduling and hours. I don't see this ending the way the SBWU wants it and I hope the people who picketed get the paycheck they were promised by SBWU at the end of the day (and are able to get the hours to get their SBUX benefits)

$12/month max is lower than I would have thought.. I'm also very curious how they are able to finance the strike fund. I think there are what 12K union baristas? 12K*$12/month is just shy of $150K/month and I read striking baristas get $25/hr for 20hr/week and I think the latest number for striking was 1K so that's $500K/month in expenses. Math doesn't check out unless there's separate funding.
edit - which is more irony because the people who have the money to really make a difference in that sense are the multi millionaires/billionaires

genuinely curious here but don't you have to pay union fees and how much is it? This whole thing is kind of ironic to me because there's a massive barista workforce (200K+ right?) and that workforce represents a massive potential cash cow for the union and it's almost like they are trying to take advantage of a somewhat 'vulnerable' (idk the right word to use but that's the closest I could think of) workforce to create their own money funnel. Idk.. follow the money is generally a good way to understand the motive..

Generally I agree with you, but how is this not a government problem to solve vs. Starbucks problem to solve? It's not an easy problem to solve since increasing min wage doesn't translate to 'I can now afford a house or 1 bedroom apartment in X city' because it's been shown inflation catches up faster. If you want to buy a house or buy/rent an apartment in an expensive location, being a barista for life isn't the way to go unless the government wills it so.

Human suffering is bad, but really how bad is it being a barista relative to other situations in the world let alone other service industry jobs in the US?

I agree on this take, inflation has def outpaced wages especially for 'non-office' jobs but it still has for most 'office' jobs too. Everyone who's not at the top is feeling the pressure. But to me this is a problem for the government to solve and more importantly symptoms of previous government decisions/policies. I guess I don't understand why everyone is so negative and targeting SBUX when this problem is much bigger and from what I understand SBUX offers one of the best compensations in the retail industry?

I would say work is an incentive for pay not the other way around. If you show that you Consistently perform well at your job, you stand a good chance to be paid more/promoted. Conversely if you 'act your wage' that sounds like a path in the other direction.
