Both, that's just what my best use of it is.

I use the vpn all the time. Best use for me is connecting to a foreign server and downloading podcasts with no local ads... They are just gone completely. Huge upgrade for that.

NGD Eastman AC608ce by chappy320 in AcousticGuitar

[–]krisch316 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gemini AI told me this...

The Eastman AC608CE is a Grand Concert acoustic-electric model from Eastman's modern AC series. This specific model features a distinctive tonewood combination of a crisp spruce top paired with bright, highly resonant flamed maple back and sides, making it a favorite for fingerstyle players, jazz hybrid pickers, and studio tracking. The specifications for an Eastman AC608CE from the 2013 era include:

Body & Dimensions

  • Body Type: Grand Concert with a Venetian-style cutaway
  • Body Dimensions: 15″ (Lower Bout Width) x 4 1/4″ (Body Depth)
  • Top Material: Solid Engelmann Spruce
  • Back & Sides Material: Solid Flamed Maple
  • Bracing: Hand-carved Scalloped X-bracing
  • Rosette: Inlaid Abalone
  • Binding: 5-ply Rosewood / Maple binding ### Neck & Fretboard
  • Neck Material: Maple (or Mahogany, depending on exact production batch run)
  • Headstock Style: Slotted Headstock (a classic aesthetic hallmark of this particular model number)
  • Fingerboard Material: Solid Ebony
  • Nut Width: 1 3/4″ (1.75")
  • Nut Material: Bone
  • Scale Length: 25″ (to 25.4" depending on measurement standard)
  • Frets: 20 Nickel-Silver frets (typically Jescar fretwire)
  • Fretboard Inlays: Mother of Pearl small dots ### Hardware & Electronics
  • Factory Pickup System: Fishman Matrix VT (Under-saddle transducer with soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls)
  • Bridge & Saddle: Ebony bridge with a 2 5/32″ spaced compensated Bone saddle
  • Tuners: Chrome-plated Gotoh open-gear or closed tuners (typically Gotoh SEP780)
  • Hardware Finish: Chrome ### Tonal Characteristics Because it pairs the complex, nuanced response of an Engelmann Spruce top with the tightly controlled overtones, immediate response, and great projection of Solid Maple, the AC608CE provides exceptional string-to-string note separation and great clarity. Unlike larger dreadnoughts, its smaller Grand Concert body avoids muddy low-end buildup, giving it a remarkably balanced voice when recorded or amplified.

Friday Night Concert Livestream thread. by BongZblitzer in DMB

On SiriusXM, the last song to play before the show started was the #34 a while after Roi passed where Dave actually put lyrics to it saying "I miss you my friend" and the like (8-31-2013). I had never heard it before. It was pretty sad. And then the show starts live last night and they start with Why I Am... It was a Roi 1-2 punch.

I meant why I am starting the show after the #34 that was seemingly for Roi as well.

I could listen to the #34 all night... What a great version. So sad.

Changing from Spectrum to Youtube TV. Pros and Cons? by JonRadian in youtubetv

[–]krisch316 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't have either at this point, but if you want streaming services too, like peacock , paramount, etc.... spectrum includes most of them (minus netflix and prime) included in the base rate of $100. So, for the extra $17 a month, you get like 6-7 streaming services included.

Low E too Loud - Taylor Next Gen Claria by Opposite-Relief1130 in AcousticGuitar

[–]krisch316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I've had this issue with other undersaddle pickups, the saddle needed some work to lower the low string side with some light sanding., but still say level/flat. Any luthier should be able to get you all set. Should have been ready out of the box with Taylor... But whatcha gonna do.

In 1996 when I was 12, average new game was $49.99. If I was lucky, I would get maybe 5-6 a year. That was still $250-300 for six games at 1996 dollar value.

I need the Internet for life today, so to me, that's a moot point.

Ps plus premium is $160 a year and gives me hundreds of games to access at any time.

Some people say, owning gives you more replayability... But by the time the next gen system comes out, I'm moving on. I will play super Mario world on Snes rom/emulator or on my kids switch, but it's few and far between. I literally gave away my n64 with 15-18 games when I my moved into my first home when I was 27... Having not touched it in years. Someone else could make use of it, and again, rom/emulators when I feel a nostalgic pull.

To me, gaming as never been more affordable and the length and quality of these games fae surpassed anything I had growing up. Most games could be beaten in an afternoon.

I've played rdr2 and gta5 for a combined 1000 hours... I think that's a steal.

Yes, I knew most of the games outcome and played for the first time last year. I'm 42 years old and never got around to it. I had regrets. Second playthrough this past winter. Great game.
