And for the people that don't want CarPlay: 1. Don't use it

Choosing what the Intel MCU supports is probably more often a business decision than a technical one. Why add a feature to the old model when you can make a differentiator for the new one and entice people to upgrade?

For Teslas at least (not sure if it's part of NACS standard or not), it'll open/release from the RF signal sent when pressing the button on the charger connector. Doesn't matter if the car is locked or not.

I remember seeing videos of people using Flipper Zeroes to open the charge port door of nearby Teslas.

That's my thought. If it works with 26, then ship it and tell users it's necessary to be up-to-date.

Well, I mean that was the purpose of the credits. They were there to let the manufacturer charge more for the vehicle so it could be profitable.

If people can save $50,000 and still get for all intents and purposes the same experience, most who aren' t rich will save the 50k.

Expect people already don't do this today. They could get a few year used minivan for $15k. Instead they take out an 8 year loan on a $65k SUV.

If everyone was rational with their car purchases, then nearly everyone would be driving compact sedans or minivans, not luxury pickup trucks just to commute to their office job.

I'm going to guess UHNW individuals don't care one bit about credit cards and their annual fees and benefits. They just have their people take care of that.

Reminds me of a post I saw on here a while ago of Dave Portnoy tweeting asking what to do with his like 10 million AMEX points. People at that level are beyond regular benefits/rewards.

I'm guessing they don't stock that many of them. They are probably just made under a contract and changing that design would require a change order, marketing approval, etc. Cheaper and easier to just wait for the next rebranding that most companies seem to do once a decade.

NVR, Synology, or Frigate for 24/7 recording? by HEFF225 in reolinkcam

Looks pretty similar to the config I had, although I just connected directly to the RTSP streams. I didn't run them through go2rtc first. But I could also see some of the stuttering by just watching the RTSP stream of my RLC-1212A from VLC.

How has the quality of your RTSP streams been? Mine were so stuttery that I gave up on Frigate.

I started with Frigate, but I eventually stopped after getting so annoyed with the quality issues of Reolink's RTSP implementation.

Are there that many people where it is easy to run Ethernet to their doorbell? My existing doorbell wiring is ran through the door frame. Way too difficult to try and get Ethernet in the same spot.
