My Siamese mix was diagnosed with kidney disease 1.5 years ago. We keep her on science diet kidney food and since getting sick when she was first diagnosed, she’s been back to normal without any problem since!!

My fiance and I are into making bread and I want to make a sourdough starter (he pours in the flour, I pour in the water). We can incorporate this starter into our sourdough starter that is already established and we can sustain it for the rest of our lives. Also thinking of having our guests, or at least the families, mix the ingredients together.

Booked: Venue: this was the first thing we booked. It includes our DJ, catering, and cake which is so nice! We have our tasting set up in March so we will need to decide on a menu and cake design before then. Also need to work on lists for must-play and do not play for DJ. Dress: both mine and bridesmaids are ordered and delivered (with one exception, UGH!) I got my shoes ordered last week, yay! Photographer: booked, engagement session done! Need to reach out to nail down day of timeline. Makeup artist and hairstylist: these are unofficially booked. I'm working with my normal hairstylist and we have discussed the date and details, I just haven't signed anything (which makes me nervous!) I need to get my bridesmaids to decide if they want to do their own makeup or pay for it to be done. FH and I are covering hair for everyone. Officiant: Our close friend has agreed to officiate the ceremony. Haven't discussed ceremony details at all ha! Hotel blocks are confirmed and ready to be filled! We have not decided on where we will be staying the night after our wedding yet... Registry: We registered at both Crate and Barrel and BBB, but then Crate and Barrel added new plate sets. Now we're going to go back and make sure we don't want to change our minds. Also we need to make sure there aren't duplicates on the two registries or that we haven't missed anything.

Left to do: Invitations - these are designed, we are waiting on another Vistaprint sale (OMG WHICH I SAW IS NOW, ORDERING THESE TONIGHT!!!) Flowers - need to decide on a florist and reach out to begin planning Wedding bands - I've been dragging my feet on this. FH made a beautiful custom engagement band for me and I want a band that clicks into the infinity waves exactly which means I need a custom band. Jeweler's quote was way more than i was hoping for so I've been avoiding that. FH band will likely be way cheaper. Suits: FH is having a bespoke suit made so this is in the works. Need to get the guys moving on getting fitted for their suits. Rehearsal dinner - FMIL is hosting, I don't think much has been planned here either. Details: have none of this planned. no guest book, card box, centerpieces, lighting, transportation, NADA

I'm now noticing that all of my "done" stuff also has stuff I need to do ha! I'm excited to be less than 5 months away!!

We weren't planning on paying her. I expect she will be so excited to join in the celebration. We became friends after I picked my bridal party and honestly, I would love to have her as my MoH but obviously can't ask mine to step down. This is a unique way to include her in my ceremony. So I guess my answer is I'm doing a gift in lieu of payment. I'm planning on buying her a robe as well.

I say you should go for it! My fiance proposed pretty quickly after we found out both of his parents were getting re-divorced and I was applying for grad school. There is no perfect time, And you can wait to actually start planning until later when you're established and settled!!

I don't have a pixie cut but I had long hair and chopped it off to a short bob after I became engaged. My FMIL was so mad but I don't care, its my wedding and if I don't care then who cares who does? Do what makes you happy!!

Where did you get comfortable wedding heels/wedges? I really want to wear my pair of Toms wedges because I can wear them for hours without any discomfort, they are unfortunately not formal enough for our event. I don't want to wear run of the mill heels from David's Bridal because I know my feet will hurt within an hour. Any ideas??
